There were several posts about gaining root access to the newer devices and version, so I wanted to post what worked for the device noted above.
Towelroot was able to get the root acces going for me while 'superuser' did not work.
I was then able to use Titanium backup to remove the applications that I didn't want.
I do have a question that maybe someone can answer. When enabling 'Location' GPS, there is the initial prompt where you have to 'agree' while I am fine with that one, the newer version now has an additional notification where 'Google' wants to send info, I keep clicking cancel to it, but it doesn't allow me to choose disagree all of the time. When you select 'Remember my decision' the disagree button greys out.
Does anyone know how to remove this prompt, disable, or disagree permanently?
