Samsung Pay Discussion

I finally got the chance to use it again and it worked this time. It's not as hard as I was making it. I really thought I was slow. Lol

Re: you're new big iPhone is so cool! I simply take the S-Pen out and it's game over!

I just simply take the S-Pen out and it's game over! They're like WTH?!
And then sometimes do a "screen off memo" right in front of them. PRICELESS

P.S. And to answer your question. No, it's not wrong to "feel" that way. :D

Lol. Wow, and yet the top of the phone says, "Samsung" , oh and the button is Not round.

New problem. Double charge. At bottom of screen shot, double payment of 3.60 (2 1 liters of mountain dew). First attempt declined, second attempt went through. I know if successful attempt because my alert goes off.

I had two charges for Subway occur on the same day. I knew I didn't go twice so I thought it was a double charge. Then I looked more closely and saw the charges were from different cities (I live on the border of two) and then determined that they occurred on different days but just happened to be reported on the same day. I wish the time was reported but it wasn't.

Loving Samsung pay. It's definitely one area that Samsung has a leg up on apple. I also love the responses from the cashiers wherever I use it lol

I don't, I get the same thing in every CVS. We don't take apple pay and then oh I guess they turned it on. I feel like buying an iPhone to carry around and throw it on the floor, followed by jumping on it and screaming this is what I think about Apple pay and iphones. Because when I tell them it's a Samsung pay and that it works with almost any reader. Because of MST technology, which I of course explain as simply as possible. They can't comprehend it.

Just got my Note 5 & been trying to use it everywhere I can. Most common reaction like most have said is "oh, that doesn't work yet" then I hold it next to the swipe terminal and wait as they see it process the payment. Then I get a reaction like "cool" or "what is that?" :D

FINALLY Got a Card Accepted... SamPay Didn't Work!

Ok.. so I stopped at Wawa this morning and was all set to 'Wow' folks with my sorcery. Pulled out my phone and placed it against the machine. Cashier immediately said, "ApplePay won't work". I told her it wasn't Apple. Then.... NOTHING! I tried it twice and nothing happened. I ended up using my physical card and walked out with my tail tucked and head low.... looking like an *****. LOL... oh well.

Re: FINALLY Got a Card Accepted... SamPay Didn't Work!

Haha. I hear ya. My phone wouldnt work at dollar general or lowes. But i had no issues with it at walmart.

Re: FINALLY Got a Card Accepted... SamPay Didn't Work!

Ugggh I don't even want to try it now! Do you have to push anything after entering your pin? Just hold phone over the reader?

Re: FINALLY Got a Card Accepted... SamPay Didn't Work!

In what way is it easier to pull out a big phone over a little card. I will never get this. I have a chip card. That is secure enough for me...

Each pinpad has it's "sweet spot." The phone's antenna is in the top 1/3 of the phone. You need to move the antenna around until you find the pinpad's sweet spot. Normally the sweet spot is near the middle or bottom half of the swipe area. I normally hold mine at about a 45 degree angle at the edge of the pinpad. I haven't found a pinpad that doesn't work yet.

The best way to handle it is to pull your phone out and say something like this, "Let's see if this works. This is Samsung Pay and it's supposed to work everywhere." Once I got the hang of it I felt very comfortable with it. I don't say anything now, it just works. Most of the time the people around me, including the checker, don't even notice.

There are times when I don't have my wallet. Like when I go to the gym. Or if I'm out for a run. I believe it to be infinitely more secure than carrying a credit card around since it includes two factor authentication.

Although I will never use it I am pleased it is more widely accepted than Apple pay.

When I shopped at Publix supermarket, after entering the card via phone, I have to press the credit button.

Not if the provider (Sammy Pay) is hacked. You could still lose a credit card and someone could still use it. Your bank can still be hacked too. As I see it this just adds one more possible source of ID theft. When I run I would never carry a note phone. I always carry a wallet in case I need ID. We're all different but for ease of use it is hard to argue Sammy pay is easier than a cc. Once the "cool" factor wears off....well u get it. Anyway I do understand many of you really enjoy it so I am glad it works so well at most stores. Although I will never use it I am pleased it is more widely accepted than Apple pay.

This is completely incorrect, as Samsung Pay uses a "virtual card" number for each transaction and not your actual CC. The information is not stored in any way that can be "hacked". Do your research before you try to spread false information to make people worried about using something that is SAFER than your regular CC.

I do the same at Publix. Hold. Enter credit. Sign. Leave. Safe, secure and simple.

I'm not trying to spread false info. I stated an opinion. I am no an IT specialist. I will delete the offensive post if you delete the quote. I just figured I have to give Sammy Pay my card info so that info must be stored somewhere no? Anyway I will delete my post. Not trying to start a war and I know nothing about how financial data is stored.

Please note I have deleted the part you objected to.
