Samsung sucks for removing the micro SD and MST Samsung Pay.

To be honest we have had unlimited data for all broadband providers in the UK for at least the last 5 years and I have had unlimited mobile data for at least the last 7 or 8 years.

I still prefer using optical discs for backing up data more permanently. Just bought an external bluray writer for my iMac to back up data I had saved in the cloud that Mega was threatening to delete. My 22GB of photos from the 1990s and early 2000s fitted nicely onto a single Bluray disk.
It depends on the broadband provider and the plan. My cable/Internet provider has no limits.

Even my local starbucks does not have NFC.

I guess I will also be holding onto my Note 20 Ultra for awhile, hoping that Samsung maybe has a change of heart and brings back MST at some point in the future, but I doubt it.

Or you could find a better coffee shop lol.

It's a minor deal for some of us. I used to use MST all the time, but something about it now feels unsecure. I don't even want it on my phone anymore.

I switched to Google Pay haven't looked back. But I agree it's time for these businesses to upgrade their terminals so that's NFC is more widely available.

I just had to replace my micro SD card on my phone because I've been loosing embedded album covers on my MP3's since June and a few pics from the phone camera here and there. then probably lost a hundred pics as of November and had to order a new SD card. my friends seldom used SD card just started acting up in his drone the other day and would cause it error messages and intermittent recording. I have to replace SD cards in either my camera or camcorder, phone, or tablet about every two years for each card.

Huh... I've been using SD cards in various devices since 2000 when I got my first digital camera and I have yet to have a problem with one. The one in my drone takes a beating too since I typically record between 60 to 120GB of 4k video on a single day out with it. I do buy top rated name brand SD cards though...

I pay through my app! I only use Samsung pay it a couple places and for some reason it quit working at Walmart and one other place so it's not really a big deal to me. I may if I really want to try Google pay againwhich is what I've used way back in the day when I had an HTC phone.

at Walmart in my area, you have to scan twice, first time always rejects for whatever reason. I started using Walmart pay since I do the scan and go thing.

I've been using the 256gb that I received with the note 7 with no issues at all. Have moved it between several devices with no issues for years. Read speed is still as fast as the day I got it.

Okay. Keep changing the issue. Losing MST is not a minor deal considering how many US terminals have not been updated.

I wasn't changing the issue, I was making fun of you for drinking bad coffee.

I understand it's inconvenient, but MST needs to die. And look on the bright side; if not being able to buy terrible coffee with a tap of your phone is a "major issue" I'd say you've got a pretty nice life, no?

I must be the only tech geek in the world who has never paid for anything with their phone, lol. I've only seen my friend do it once at a soda machine at a amusement park, heh. Maybe I need to start using the full capabilities of my phone? Yea I'm old school....cash or credit card lol.

Honestly I mostly use the NFC chip on my card. I don't even have Samsung pay because my bank doesn't support it.

Yeah same cash for some things and cc for other, but it can come in handy if you have forgotten your wallet or don't want Carry either cash or cc

I think it's safe to say we can go back and forth on the lack of storage cards and payment systems and not change anyone's mind as to whether they're important or not. It virtually doesn't matter what the feature change is. Some will approve or disapprove, and most of the rest won't care.

Same here, regarding using card's NFC feature. I just find it easier than unlocking my phone, opening the app and doing whatever else to pay with my phone.
