how did you get it to come down?Of course the price is concerning. On day 1 my total came out to $1,004. Cancelled that. On day 2 my total came out to $654. I'll take that!
I had just received the Note 7 for the first round (lol) and accidentally had set it down in an isle. I nearly had a stroke and a heart attack looking for it. Scary 5 minute search.I think smartphones are pretty much a necessity now days, so the price doesnt bother me as much as when cellphones first came out and everyone was still using landlines...they were considered a luxury item....on a side note I accidentally left my phone at home while away for a weekend and I went through serious withdrawal, didnt realize how dependent I was on it.
Yes it bothered me.
I cancelled my pre-order today.
At VZW it's about $1100 with tax and some fees. And I got no perks. So it didn't make sense to get it now.
Frankly I am thinking of going with smaller/lighter phones and may wait for the S9 with dual lens camera.
Or Will consider the Note 8 in a couple of months when some real incentives are running.
As a long time Note user, I do not use the S Pen, so it seems to be a waste specially since the Note 8 is just a glorified S8+. And that tall look is just not doing it for me.

IMO, Better/Best are relative terms... Better/Best to who? You? I can't speak for you, your tastes or needs. Based on specks and ratings, it's obviously debatable. But for me, if it checks off more things I need/want over the next device, then yes, it is better, even at $950.Well I'm sure you know that just because a phone is expensive doesn't necessarily mean its the best or better than other phones
Man, I was waffling a bit on whether or not I really should get this Note, but you convinced me here. All great reasons to justify the upgrade to a Note 8.
Note 4
how did you get it to come down?
For $504 before tax, not at all. For the full $930 before tax, possibly.
Not in the least.
My smartphone is used from the moment I wake to the moment I sleep, for communicating and keeping in touch with my entire family, morning prayer, enjoying music, and for any and everything regarding work.
Holding a multitasking computer in my hands, for less than $1000, in my case $30 a month after trading in an old N4, makes complete sense.
And with the arrival of my Dex doc and new Black Note 8, I just avoided spending $1200 for a new desktop for work at my home
Go Note 8!!!
