Screen cracked after one week!!!

Anyone know if the middle of the glass on the Gnex is as thick s the Nexus S? Lets try to figure out why the screen seems to be so sensitive on some peoples. We can preach morals and legal mumbo jumbo online all day long its not going to change someones mind.

There's no weakness per say, other than glass meeting ground. It all just depends on how it hits, just like any other glass.

Im stating my opinion. Call me fraud, Call me what you want. Start paying my bills and Ill do what you say. Im not ashamend of nothing.

You have made it very clear that you have no respect for right and wrong, or what could potentially be illegal. You seem to believe that the role of an advisor at AC is to encourage people break or get around rules and laws when possible.

Thanks for the additional information and clarification.

You have both made your point. Grab a cold one & move on to another thread.

This debate has been going on for 10 years now & it never goes anywhere.

I have Asurion and just dropped my phone and the screen cracked. I have had it only 10 days. Is it fine to file a claim now? My Verizon rep told me I had to wait 30 days after getting the insurance until using it.

This. I have dropped a phone from a high height and had it survive with barely any scratches. And I have dropped the same phone from a much lower height and had it crack. Just depends on how it hits.

My GN screen hair line cracked mysteriously. Galaxy nexus screen cracks far too easily. - YouTube
Others have no idea how it’s happened to their phones as well!
[Q] Hairline crack "under" the screen. - xda-developers
Maybe it’s the new fortified glass design that’s flawed?
Maybe it’s weather related, from indoor to cold outdoors?
Maybe it’s just a bad design overall?
I just want to warn others of it’s extreme fragility.

Let me guess, you had it in your front pocket

No, as I said in the video, I had it in my x-lg leather jacket front pocket.

Sorry, didn't watch the video. Most of the time cracks are caused by the users. There is a possibility that its a defective phone, but its small.

Edit OK, just watched some of the video. Dude, you're all over the place. Did you smoke before filming? I couldn't get through 8 minutes of that. I highly, highly doubt its weather related. The temperature of the phone would not drop quick enough to crack glass. The reason the internet is filled with people with cracks is because people do not fess up to their mistakes. How many thread do you come across where people say, "oh, I f-ed up and cracked my screen." Pay your deductible and get a new phone through insurance. Simple.

Maybe you should go check out that thread again. There's multiple people with the same exact crack. This crack also exists under the screen and therefore doesn't distort the screen. I would love to know how a user can create a crack under the screen with no other visible damage to the phone. The crack also disappears when the phone heats up.

Wow, way to pull one back from the dead. Many people have cracked panels under the actual glass before on many different phones. Fortified glass can bend quite a bit before it cracks, but that doesn't necessarily mean the panels underneath can. Again, most of this comes down to people not wanting to admit they broke their phones and looking for someone to blame. Just like people that complain about scratches when they had their phone in their pocket with no keys or coins, yet fail to comprehend that those things will rarely ever scratch regular glass, let alone fortified, but the grit in the bottom of their pockets will. So then they make up some craziness about the glass being soft. Lmao

it is true that most modern phones are more delicate, is almost impossible to have a last generation cell and that also is resistant. for this situation I would recommend a case, there are many on the market and very good value for a good price, I buy from Fortte and after many falls this as a new, I think it will be advisable instead of buying a new phone or change parts each time you break something. regards

That's insurance fraud. Be responsible for your own actions. You get what I am saying.

We can have new people posting. So as long as posters suggest insurance fraud it is appropriate to note that it is insurance fraud. Suggesting it should be flagged and posters who do suggest it should be warned. IMHO.
