Scrolling seem weird?

It's not a lag or a stutter, but I know what everyone here means.

It's like scrolling is a mix of android and iOS safari scrolling. Sometimes it will stop once you lift your finger others it will work fine.

It is a bit weird but not a major issue at all. Should be an easy software fix.

Ok, I made a setting change to the animation transitions as described in the link below, and it seems my scrolling issues have gone away! So, if you're having similar issues try this adjustment and let us know if it worked for you too.

Galaxy Note 4: 15 Helpful Tips, Tricks, and How Tos | Page 13 | Digital Trends

Does this cause more battery drain? Or maybe less? Or no difference to battery at all? I'm wondering if speeding up the animation requires more power, I guess...

I've bought a good bit of tech in the hopes of them getting ironed out later and it has rarely worked out too well for me.

Anyways I really did want the s6. I am pained to add Lightning charging (slowww) instead of Fat charging Micro USB and Wireless Qi which I already had on everything else.

Other than that I think I will be pretty satisfied. It just sucks that the scrolling had to be that way. That stuff really bothers me and the reason I considered the S6 was because everyone said it was butter.

There is no scrolling issue and the fact that you returned your phone so quickly before trying to fix the issue shows you always wanted the iPhone 6. Would you like me to list 10 current problems on the 6? Because I can..

I tried some scrolling on the demo model at a Verizon store and I was disappointed by how it stuttered on phandroid's website. Does anyone else have scrolling stutter on that website? It stutters when you scroll the website slowly and regular pace and when you pinch zoom. I compared it to the iphone 6+ and the 6+ was very smooth, though I think it may have had a tiny amount stutter. My gs5 also stutters a bit while scrolling, but it's small stutters. It's still pretty smooth though.

I came form the iphone 6 to the s6 (also used every flagship phone for the last 5-6 years). The scrolling is annoying. I love the phone overall but scrolling (chrome, twitter, etc) experience leave much to be desired . It is very frustrating.

Vzw gs6 coming from an iphone 5s and no problems scrolling so far. It is a little different of a scroll than iphone , but isn't that what part of the lawsuit was about a few years back any?

This is absolutely driving me crazy. Coming from an M7. Hopefully I can find a fix before Friday, or I'll have to send this thing back. :(

Chrome seems good.
Instagram and Facebook are horrible. It just feels like it doesn't scroll as far as it should.

Touchwiz is very awkward coming from HTC sense. I actually never realized how good sense actually is. I have been tweaking this S6 for three days straight and it's finally starting to feel natural, it's kind of like breaking in a wild horse.

It was the opposite for me when deciding between Samsung and HTC a few years back when I got my first Android device, the GS3, coming over from RIM.

Turn off all your animations and transitions in developer options

Do not do this. Feel free to speed up animations to 0.5x but turning them off completely actually hurts usability. Some apps, like Hangouts, need an animation to advance to the next chat bubble in the convo. It may be like that in other apps, too. Just FYI!

Try adjusting the animation transition settings (see previous post). After I did that, my scrolling was better. Touchwiz scrolling is a little bit different than the M7, in my opinion, but I was able to a just to it after a few days.

I had that issue the most with Web browsing I recommend using Dolphin Browser. Go to settings, advanced settings, page scrolling speed, and set at about 40%. Smoothes everything out pretty well.

The only app where I really notice it is Instagram. I thought I was crazy at first, but it definitely takes more of an effort to get a smooth, rolling scroll than it did on my Moto X. To me, it's no different than the back button being on the wrong side (Left-side please), I just need to adjust to it. This phone is too good otherwise.

This has to be on purpose, like they tried to fix users from overshooting their scrolls or something. All it is doing for me is making me frustrated, I hate it. Its like being in a dream where I am trying to scroll down really hard, and no matter how hard I flick my thumb the feed speed remains the same. Other than this odd malady, I LOVE THIS PHONE, seriously can't stop saying good things about it. This phone with Lollipop is like android is finally reaching is potential.

P.S. I should not have to turn off my animations to fix this, I like the animations.

Same here. I think adjusting the settings made all the difference. While maybe not perfect it is, much, much better than it was.
I can't really notice much if any change in animations either.

Wow I just assumed this was an android thing with poor scrolling momentum. I'm getting used to it but iPhone scrolling is WAY better.

Not having the carousel effect took some getting used to but I like not having it and don't miss it.

man, this has been driving me crazy also. Had a Nexus 5, scrolling was super smooth. Recently got the Galaxy s6 and thought I love the phone in pretty much every other way, I can't seem to get over how crappy the scrolling is. I feel like I'm back to my Galaxy S2 from 4 years ago. I know Android 5.1.1 is supposed to be coming out for the S6, so I'm really hoping they fix this!
