Fantastic coverage on this forum over the past months - thanks!

I want to buy a 32G microSD for the Bionic - anybody know the speed "class"
required/recommended?

Class 4 is what comes standard in the phones. Honestly you will not notice a difference in the classes unless you're transferring files between the phone and a computer. If you're looking for increased speed on how the phone reads the files off of the card... you will not even notice it. Only when transferring files on/off the card will you see a speed improvement. So unless you constantly transfer large files from your computer onto the phone... I would stick with a class 4 for the money. Just make sure you stick with known namebrands... there's a lot of cheap 32G cards on eBay that are knockoffs.

Does anyone know the actual tech specs on the Bionic's SD card transfer rate?
I may not notice a huge difference in performance, but I do want to know what the limitation of the phone is.
Thanks.

Can't remmebrr but awhile go there's was a post on speeds. Class 6 is the Max on any android phone or tablet. Any thing higher will not be noticed.

I bought a Class 10 32 GB one, but only because I got a good deal on it (and wanted to go up to 32 GB).

Class 4 should be sufficient. I didn't test the Class 4 on 1080p playback, but some have speculated it may cause issues. I'd suspect thats only on a Class 2.

Either way 4 should be sufficient, 6 definitely sufficient, unless you get a great deal you don't need to go higher (my Class 10 at the time was cheaper than a Class 6... yeah, don't ask me).
