SetCPU Configuration

Hi guys. I just downloaded SetCPU.

Any recommendations on the max and min clock speed? Right now I'm using the recommended max of 1ghtz and min of 100mhtz.

Any suggestions?

I also want to add a profile for clock speeds for when my screen is off.

y not iv been using it for about a week now.. havent had any problems

Profiles:

Charging/full - 800max 200min
Screen Off - 200max 100min
Battery <20% - 400max 200min

yeah im looking up online that there are issues with it thanks for the heads up.

they said on [Q] SetCPU unstable on Galaxy S? - xda-developers
that they experienced issues with it set on conservative. what if its set on ondemand?

uninstall it man i got jinxed lol i just tried making a call and my phone shut off on me twice and i had to pull the battery twice

The phone actively throttles itself already. I really don't see the point of these types of programs until we have a kernel that allows overclocking. Unless you want to purposefully underclock your phone by setting the max speed to less than 1 GHz but that really won't save much battery and will greatly impact performance! If you are concerned about power savings you need to undervolt, but I don't think that is available on the Fascinate (at least not yet).

I've been using setCPU on the consertive setting for a few day's now with no problems. The main benefit I get from setCPU is it solved my screen rotation lag problem

What's undervolt?

Lowering the voltage to the processor which can greatly reduce power consumption but, if you go too low will affect stability.
