Share photos taken on your Note 8!

I think people start to forget sometimes... they are phones, not DSLRs, after all! I have a sweet Nikon D80 with three lenses that rarely leave my office any more because the damned phones take such great pictures and are so convenient!

I was going to upgrade my dslr from the D300 and I don't think I need to know. what I can't do easily and quickly with my N8, I can do with my gear.

The D7100 is a great but of kit. What lenses do you use?
I'm a Canon guy though ( I worked for them for over 10 years so the discount helped )

Yes, that rain shot was shot in manual.

Yeah I need a better lens but can't get one right now. I have a protrait lens 50mm ...I had an 18/140 Nikkor ...hoping to get that lens again but contemplating upgrading my camera next year.

I wish there was a way to default the focus to multi focus in auto mode. It's one thing I always disliked about the s7/s8 sensor- it wants to focus so quick that parts of close up images are often out of focus. Switching to pro mode multi focus solves it.

Our tropical storm watch was upgraded to a warning... The tide is going out, typically you'd be able to see the beach at the bottom of these stairs at this time of the day

A kind of fuzzy look that you often get in low light pictures when a camera is struggling

I'm really not seeing much in those pics tbh. They look awesome

I'm not seeing any noise either, gosh that water doesn't even have a ripple anywhere... Just like glass!

Took another walk back down to the pier, waves were not nearly as impressive but had a chance to play with the pro camera mode and mess with those settings. Got a few that I like...

Quality on this last one isn't great, but again I was playing with the settings. Just thought it was cool that I timed it right and got the light from the lighthouse in the distance. Always amazes me how many seagulls hand around during a storm too

Looks almost like Medical Electronics... I serviced Medical Imaging Equipment for 33 years! Saw LOTS of changes over those years...
