Shipping notification....Who's first?

Told my husband about the further delay. His response? "You could cancel your preorder and I'll get the iPhone 4s and you can have your 3d back."

The Evolte was to be my Mothers Day present.

Well that's mean. Also why would he just go out and buy a phone that is the cause of all this drama?

Oh well, got Diablo III to occupy the rest of my lift until this phone arrives anyway ;-)

Hell yea! Rocking Diablo III, Mass Effect 3, and if somehow I'm still bored, World of Warcraft. Which isn't to say I wouldn't rather be outside taking awesome photos with my shiny new Evo 4G LTE device...

Well that's mean. Also why would he just go out and buy a phone that is the cause of all this drama?

Because most people who aren't into this stuff the way we are don't care. They buy what's available and move on.

In his defense is reasoning was that I liked my 3d and he doesn't want me to have to use the optimus for months.

I hate this Optimus.

Process Update: Cancelling a submitted order – Escalation ? Inside Sprint Now

Process Update: Cancelling a submitted order – Escalation

Also, this just went out to the front lines. Nothing really new, other than the fact that it’s a small modification to the long standing ‘refuse shipment’ process for cancelling an order once it’s been submitted. Unsure what prompted it.. could it be because we made public the ‘Why you can’t cancel your Sprint order‘ post? We’ll never know for sure, but it serves the same purpose, without the extra work on the customer’s part. Maybe if nothing else, we’ve prompted a change in process that benefits the customer. Maybe that’s wishful thinking.. maybe not. It is unclear whether the process will be carried over to other orders, or reserved solely for this situation.

Remember: Requests to Cancel Pre-Orders in Fulfillment Hold for the HTC EVO 4G LTE can no longer be accepted. Instruct customers on refusing shipment (no accessories included) or follow return processes.

For ESCALATED scenarios ONLY, where customers threaten legal action or continued escalation through the corporate chain, engage Supervisor. Tell customers that we will attempt to work with the warehouse and carrier to request a package intercept at Sprint’s cost.

Supervisors will send the following detail to Escalations: tescalat@sprint.com as follows:

Subject Line: Escalated HTC EVO 4G LTE Cancellation Request for
Detail Required within e-mail body:
Customer Name
BAN
Order Number
Date/Time Request to Cancel Received

Personally I will not cancel and let Apple with. F that!!!

7AM Update – HTC EVO 4G LTE Launch Delay
      3 Votes
Morning, all! After some MUCH needed sleep, and catching up on some emails, I just wanted to give a quick update before I head into the office to see what the day will bring.

I CAN confirm that an email with out to the 3rd Party distro with the 5/23 date.
Since Best-Buy is saying ‘whoops’ for sending the email, I’m not sure if they got smacked for releasing the date first, or if someone just messed up.
I do believe I’ll be able to get a copy of the actual email today to post.
There is a 2PM Conference bridge today about the launch.. but we’ve had these daily at some point each day, so don’t get too excited. Yesterday’s was simply boring stuff we all already knew. Generally these are not the venue for breaking news.
Also, thanks to everyone that’s been reading the blog over the past couple of days, I’ve been able to get in touch with someone who actually works for the warehouse in Louisville yesterday! It took me a while to figure out how to verify who they were, but finally I was able to do so. According to them, we have some stock there that is in the foreign trade zone (aka customs) and some that is not. Apparently some of the earlier shipments have been in the racks for a while(some are always held back for replacements, demos, store models, training phones, etc…). They have indeed picked and packed both sections for the ones that are being shipped out, and last night they were prepping for ‘rollout’. I don’t have any more information than that… but I’m determined to find some out today :)

Time for the morning commute. Hopefully I’ll be able to confirm something more soon. In the meantime, if you’re new to ISN, I’ve posted a TON of stuff over the past few years you might find interesting, so check it out – and let me know what else you’d like to see. From training docs, to processes, to launch decks…. I am generally so accustomed to seeing it all so much that I only post stuff that I think would be REALLY interesting to others.. but if there’s other stuff you’re curious about, please speak up!

Not gonna lie, I recently found out that I might be in Europe for 3 years so I was considering getting a Photon or EVO Design all this morning since they are world phones.

BUT I got to thinking that I'm not wasting an upgrade on a less superior phone. I am still getting the new EVO and if I do move overseas it will be my wifi/Google Talk phone, and ill get a cheap GSM Android phone for work related calls.

Should've been sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE using Android Central Forums.

What confuses me is that the HTC One S is still being sold and there are no issues. Think maybe it's because Tmo is the only carrier the iPhone isn't on? No issues with that phone or is it just the phones that are destined to run circles around the iPhone5. Why just block 2 of the 3 phones that come with the included software. What about all the Sensations that got the ICS update on Wednesday? No one has said anything to them. I think Apple is concerned because of the fact that the EVO and OneX will indeed out sell the 4s and the 5 once that is released.

Exactly what I've been wondering.

I am no apple fan boy and I love android. But let's be real. This phone will not outsell the iphone5. Apple fans are just too dedicated for that to happen.

I wish we would stop comparing every phone that's released to the iphone line. It has been said for every flagship phone to be released that it will be the iphone killer....well I'm still waiting to see that happen. Again, dont get me wrong. I am android all the way.

Well I was all about Apple products until the Evo came out. I saw what that thing could do and I was blown away. Not saying it was an iPhone killer, but it was good enough to kill my Apple dedication. How many people switched to an Android after seeing all the Evo commercials? Talking to people that had them? What do you think this would do to their sales? Not saying that it would stop them dead in their tracks but probably enough to be noticed. Obviously enough for Apple to reach out to other carriers besides ATT. If Apple wasn't concerned, they wouldn't be getting ridiculous patents like this one. Apple is definitely scared. If Google had HTC's back then Apple would really be concerned. I find it funny though that my NexusS is running stock ICS and links are available in the mail, texts and everything else. Obviously it is Android that has this issue. Why don't Apple make a stink over anyone else's phone. Google needs to start backing up it phone mfg's.

Agreed. There is far too many people out there that are either not as phone literate, or that are just more worried about the trendy iPhone to do anything other than buy an iPhone. That fact is a sad one, but I guess everyone can't be as intelligent as we are, can they?
