Shipping notification....Who's first?

I have yet to recieve any type of communication from Sprint informing me that my pre-order is going to be or may be delayed. Until I hear otherwise from an Offical Sprint communication sent ot me I am still planning on recieving my phone. Or until it doesn't arrive by Friday night.

My UPS number says my shipment is in New Jersey scheduled for delivery on 5/17/12 by the end of day, I haven't ordered anything but my evo, so if that's not it...somethings coming I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Also a sprint rep I spoke with last night said they knew nothing about the Customs delay effecting pre-orders & that I was still scheduled to recieve my phone on or before the 18th at this point I'm not gonna stress until friday, if I don't get some info by sat I'm down to raise hell with the rest of the pre-oreder crew LOL!

Where is everyone that had tracking yesterday? has your package moved? if it was really shipped it should have changed to "On Truck for delivery" by now.

All of the Sprint News sites are saying NO pre-orders will be shipped or HAVE BEEN shipped.

EDIT: Saw a few posts a few pages back, no packages are moving.

I wonder now how long it will take for the Galaxy S3 to come into the US. I am sure Apple will find every way possible to stop that phone too.

that isnt an htc product tho so i dont know if apple will give them a hard time. this is actually pretty ridiculous. apple put a patent on being able to click on someones phone number and it calls them? get real. htc should have put a patent on the notification bar at the top of the screen. apparently that's something that the iphone never had until recently. but if companies start patenting stupid features left and right, no phone is going to be really good.

I posted this on XDA and I might as well post it here:

"For all the crying and complaining over a phone done by some of you guys - instead you should put that energy into petitioning the government to overhaul the US Patent Office. Until they stop issuing bull patents - like the shape of a phone - this will continue."

The only reason I'm upset with Sprint is because they are not saying anything. Nothing on social media. i understand what the issues are, but this is where Sprint fails. Instead of getting out in front of the situation last night and being ready for the onslaught this morning they still don't have a script to go on, no one is out in front saying this is what is happening and this is what happens from here..Thats the professional thing to do and even after all this time they still don't get it..Stop treating your customers like mushrooms..Even if you don't have info tell us you don't have info but will update asap..Sprint may think that the iPhone will lead them to victory, but they are wrong.

Sprint CS just told me (during chat) that the orders are delayed. And as of last-night you can not cancel pre-orders. For assistance call Escalations Dept 866-789-8292.

That's all I could get out.

Has anyone reached out to Escalations? I mean, if people are calling up, and Sprint is confirming that pre-orders (and all other sales of the EVO LTE) are being delayed, you should have the right to cancel your pre-order. I'm at the point of cancelling my pre-order and just deal with whatever that I need to. If it's delayed, then I have my money back. If I want to purchase it, I can just go to the store. The whole point of the pre-order was for 1, Sprint did say that they would attempt to get you the phone before the 18th, and 2, you wouldn't need to wait in line. Now at this point, Sprint needs to honor something if sales are definitely delayed.

I wonder if I can just call up my CC and dispute the charge.

I am trying to milk a free activation and some credit out of this.

Just incredible. I'm amazed at the way people are acting over all of this.

I pre-ordered my phone just like everyone else and guess what? Sprint has my $200. Big deal. I'll have a phone that is paid for on my doorstep once this is all cleared up. I'm not mad at Sprint or HTC or Apple. People should be upset that the USPTO would grant a patent for something
like this. Taxpayer money being wasted on clearing up issues like this. Those should be the real issues that people talk about. But no, you didn't get your phone so Sprint sucks and I was free stuff...

And this is why I have a general dislike for people.

Sprint Officially Confirms That The EVO 4G LTE Launch Is Delayed Due To US Customs, Provides Pre-Order Cancellation Options

"For those customers who pre-ordered the EVO 4G LTE, Sprint is allowing a no-penalty cancellation of any order. Here are the instructions:
If you would like to select an alternate product or cancel your backordered item, please call 866-789-8292 between 8:00 a.m. EST to 11:00 p.m. EST Monday to Friday or 9:00 a.m. EST to 9:00 p.m. EST on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that cancellation requests may not always process successfully due to the speed of warehouse processing. If you cancelled your backordered item but still received a shipment, please refuse the shipment or call us to process a return within 14 days of receipt.
The length of the delay is entirely unknown. It could be days - it could be weeks. We do know that it's very unlikely HTC's One X and EVO 4G LTE violate Apple's patent claims, so the process of releasing those shipments should be relatively speedy (for US Customs). But when it comes to "expediting" anything, I think we can all agree that the federal government rarely finds it necessary to speak in terms of days."

Any idea how long to refund your money if you cancel?

If they pull that "7-10 business days" non-sense then it might be worth it to just wait it out.

I saw 14 business days being kicked around somewhere in this thread I believe.
