I like to have accidental damage plans because...well...klutz.
I have accidental damage and all that stuff on my iPhone, but I think that's through Verizon rather than through Apple. I was planning on getting a Nexus 6p at tax return time and was kinda sweating about what I was gonna do for accidental damage, since, you know....me.
The 6p is Verizon whitelisted so I know I can at least use the phone on the network, but I'm certainly not gonna be able to get in on any insurance action with it. So I'm gonna have to find some other way.
I haven't heard of "protect" before now. Skimming the thread, I've managed to glean that it's $89, has a $79 deductible, and doesn't cover against loss or theft.
I don't feel that the $89 is unreasonable, nor am I too upset wih the $79. I'm okay with refurb as long as it's squeaky clean software wise and indistinguishable from brand new once it's in a case. I'm troubled by the "no loss or theft protection", though, but that's not an absolute deal breaker so long as it covers against accidental damage and "non-accident-related defect.
So does Protect go at least that far? If so, then yes, I think I will spring for it unless someone here knows of another program that will go above and beyond what Protect will do for not too much more money.
Thanks for the info, guys!!!
Cheers!
