There is no downside to this phone. Don't worry about the battery size. You can swap it out but I bet you won't need to. The cameras are, as you can see, awesome!

Is that so? then can you explain why my shots look like these in simple mode all auto?

The above selfie shot of my pal was taken under full daylight and yet it still has noise and distortion all over it, making it look watercolor painting-like. I don't think it's good /:

I kinda like the following shot though:

Again, all shots were taken in either simple or auto mode with all the settings left untouched.

Can anyone confirm whether or not my camera is defective? Thanks in advance!

I ended up using a G5 on a recent trip to Mexico because I couldn't take my Note 7 on the plane. Needless to say the cameras on this phone work great!

I actually like these shots, including the selfie. The colors are really nice, and I couldn't tell about the painting effect until I zoomed all the way in. The fisheye effect is just the price of the wide-angle lense. The effect is not my favorite, but the lower pixel count on these wide shots bothers me more than the rounded look. The weakest shot is the darker one, but it's at least an okay shot.

It's possible I'm just not that picky with pictures, but I do like most of your pictures. My suggestion with the selfie would be to make sure you have the make-up effect off, because I think it's on by default.
