Signal inside buildings, battery life

I'm considering ditching Sprint for T-Mobile and either hacking my Photon to go GSM or getting the T-Mobile Galaxy S3 and going on TMo's unlimited plan.

How is the Galaxy S3's signal inside buildings? And is the battery life good on their S3? On my Sprint one, its , in part cuz the poor signal drains the battery life.

battery life for me is great. Signal isn't so great inside the office. I can make and receive calls but most of the time but data is around 1.5Mbps. Outside my building I get 15-17Mbps. I live and work in San Francisco.

I think it's because I work on a cubical infested floor- It's like I'm surrounded by a bunch of Faraday cages.
