"SLOW CHARGING" Won't Go Away Tab S2 9.7 (Verizon)

When I charge my Tab S2 9.7 (Verizon), it always goes to SLOW CHARGING and asks me to use original Samsung charger. I am...and I have several other original chargers and it still says the same thing each time. Tried different outlets. Same. When I check the battery setting, it does show AC...but I can't get it to just "normal" charge.

Any suggestions?

How long have you had your S2? Mine did this (Slow Charging message whenever it was plugged in to the stock charger) but after the first couple of charge cycles I don't see it any more.

I've had it a few months...I don't use it as heavily as I did at first...mainly as my Wi-Fi hotspot...and even though it isn't a "Fast Charge" device, I tried one of those and it still says SLOW CHARGE.

I just remembered that when I first got that Slow charging message I shoved the charging cord a fraction of an inch further into the charger and I haven't seen the message since.

I seem to remember reading it doesn't support fast charge anyway so no big deal just check the connections

I have both the tab s2 8 and 9.7. The 8 charges much faster.

Probably you don't use the correct USB charging cable.
Here is the original USB 3 cable, it draws 1.67 Amps

Here is another new Samsung USB 3 cable , bought from Ebay, look exactly my original cable, but probably not for my Samsung Note 12.2, it draws only 0.95 Amps.
It's still working but takes longer to charge as charging current is nearly half of the original


The same cable is used with a Wifi Note Pro tablet, it won't pop up message like Verizon tablet, so I believe this's the way Verizon tablets response to an under rate charging cable

On a lark I found this document and the last idea worked for me, soft reset. All is normal now. And I don't have Sprint
