So now that the Keynote is over, Whats your take?

I would have liked a 5.9 screen, that was one of the rumours

I could barely (read: not at all) tell a difference going from a 4.6 inch screen to a 4.8 inch screen. Do you think you could tell the difference between 5.7+ and 5.9?

I like everything about the phone but I'm not sure I want to use the S Pen. So does this phone make sense if your not planning on using the S pen?

Not use the Spen? Once you get used to it you won't be able to live without it

Since there hasn't been a phone bigger than the note 2 with it's 5.5" screen, you will definitely see the difference going from 5.5 to 5.9, but less so going from 5.5 to 5.7"

Either way, the 5.9" rumor turned out to be the Megas little brother.

I think he's referring to the difference between the Note 2's 5.5" and the original rumor the Note 3 would be 5.9". That would be a noticeable difference. I wish they went that route and went with all on-screen buttons. :)

So I take it that Samsung and Wacom got over the limitations of 720p for the Spen?

Was hoping for something around 6 inches.

I don't care about cpu as much as ram. I really believe that except for gaming ram is more important than cpu with regards to Android right now. Love the fact it has 3gb of ram.

To tell you the truth I am more disappointed with the watch more than anything else.

No but between a 5.5 and a 5.9 yes

I skin all my devices, will that work with the fake leather finish?

Its all about the number man. If you give them 5.88, they will complain about it not being 5.9(not necessarily referring to quoted poster)

I did like the S Pen. It seemed pretty cool with the multitasking..

My main question is.. What's the price? Did I just miss it? (I probably did).

No pricing was announced from what i read so far. But since 32 gig is the base model is a pretty safe bet that the price will be at least 299. on contract. Possibly 349. I could see this phone retailing for 800-849.

Looking forward to Verizon's release date and pricing. My OG Razr is getting a little long in the tooth.

If this ends up being the HTC One on Verizon all over again, I'm going to be pissed. Any time I see a neat new device, the first thing I think is "is it going to come to Verizon" and the second is "if so, when?". Verizon is horrible with phone releases.

That would be insane retail pricing. Hope that isn't the case. It was bad enough the Note 2 went for $700 last year!

That port is called Micro USB 3.0 which is compatible with the last generation.

Oh, and there is no hardware optical image stabilization and also no Xenon flash as some rumors mentioned but instead just your regular LED.

Have you seen confirmation that the "Smart Stabilization" is not hardware-based? If it's not advertised as hardware, I'd assume it's not, but I haven't been able to find confirmation.

No way it will be 6 months like the One. Verizon was within a month or so with the S4. I imagine this release might be a little better time wise since the SGN3 won't be as popular as the S4 and it looks like 1 version of the N3 will cover all carriers in the US.

They focused on what was new and specific to the Note 3. The camera, and many of the other touchwiz features are for the most part probably direct carry overs from the GS4.

... Lol.. Gs4 was carry over from the note2... The note3 seperates itself from them both... Love ot or hate it... The camera has image stabilization not found on the gs4.. The camera skin is yes the same but there are differences

The guy in the german video I mentioned said he asked Samsung about the optical image stabilization and they confirmed it only has some sort of software implementation of it, no hardware. Oh well, that gives them something to stick into the next version, along with a fingerprint reader, a flexible display, and a xenon flash.

I think they would have spent more time on that feature if it was hardware based. Thats a pretty big deal with phone cameras these days. The fact that they just mentioned the image stabilization and the night shot makes me think they are both software based. The sensor is definitely no bigger then on the s4, So I doubt the hardware had anything to do with the enhanced night shot as well.

I'm in .... love the 3GB, USB3 & 13mp camera .... I'm SOLD! Verizon here I come again!

Cheers, Jon

There will be a lot more videos and information on the phone in the upcoming days\weeks. Just sit tight and relax. :-$
