Have you tried it? Anyway, I enjoy it. I have nothing against Samsung Experience Launcher. If it would let me remove icon labels from my home screen I'd give it another try.

Agree the ability to modify icons names is a plus. Precisely why I use Awesome Icons along with native Sammy launcher.

The 'Awesome Icons' App let's you change the icon, or if you prefer you can simply change the name. This is a great basic utility App no matter which launcher you use!!

Yeah Oreo changed things, but I still have to look at the icon labels if I use Samsung launcher.
