Software update...

I am new to flashed phones and have owned this one for roughly 6months.

My phone is originally an U S cellular phone galaxy s3 flashed currently to metro

I am getting a notice about a software update. Upgrading the os running.

Will this effect the flash on the phone at all?

Not sure since I've never flashed a phone, I wouldn't think so though.

I am not sure myself, I would personally skip the update. Flashing ROMs from other carriers can potentially brick devices.
