Yesterday's bike ride back to Sunset Park and Golden Gardens Park. (what is interesting as far as uploads to this site: these images are full size and I did not need to reduce their resolution - must be the muted colors. Most images of large scenes need to be resized or exceed the site's size limits)

From Sunset Park

Oh, and last week I posted a shot from friends' home at dusk or sunset. Here's the same shot more or less during the day but the mts were obscured. (and it needs to be resized downward - full light and colors!)

Just to show I'm still alive even if this thread and the entire Fold 9 subforum is pretty much DEAD!

A quick shot on the bike ride. Overlooking the SR-520 floating bridge and a chilly Fall day. Yes, the bridge floats. It is supported by a large number of large concrete floating chambers. That's the University District skyline to the right and the Olympic Mts hiding in the clouds.

Ouch! I'm sorry about that storm.

I live in Cleveland, Ohio where it's been raining since Friday.
I once spent 6 weeks in Cleveland. I then, a long time ago, worked for AT&T Long Lines. The Cleveland office had computer time that our group (six of us) needed. Off we were shipped. I did go to attend the Cleveland Orchestra and I think I recall going to the art museum. Also chided by my boss for flying out in dungaree's and representing AT&T that way. I assured him I never told anybody I worked for AT&T!!!!!!! I was a Cobol programmer at the time. AT&T and I never exactly saw eye to eye, to say the least.

AT&T didn't see eye to eye with me in terms of reception. When I had a landline I had no service. AT&T guy said, "Rats chewed the line." Then I had multiple issues with dropped calls on their mobile service. I got rid of the landline years ago and switched my mobile provider too. I see that AT&T is phasing out copper wire landlines now.

A visit to the National Nordic Museum for their Faux Flora exhibition - absolutely fascinating. The large panels were actually videos with movement. These large panels were also accompanied by ''bell jar" type containers that contained manufactured scents to accompany the faux flowers.

More from the Nordic Museum

There was this large glass/led Aurora display that showed actual captured images during Northern Lights displays. The unit has to warm up and displays that rainbow arrangement first.

As I've possibly written before, the museum was a local museum celebrating Seattle's Nordic hordes! It was located in a old public school with lots of character. Then they went big time and developed this wonderful building with regular changes of exhibits. Then it was made a NATIONAL museum. And no, I don't have any Nordic heritage but my friend, seated in front of the flowing grass, does have Swedish roots - her grandma still had the accent!

I pulled together some of the videos from the Faux Flora Exhibition posted above.

I modified the video with an opening photo
