Just download to sdcard and rename to PB31IMG and reboot into bootloader and tap on vol up key to confirm install.

If you need to unroot your phone, how do you reset the splash screen to stock? or does unrooting take care of that?

Ok...I must be missing something...I download, put on the root directory of my sdcard, named PB31IMG, and when I boot, nothing...boot into bootloader, nada. what am I missing?

Usually the RUU unrooting process takes care of that.

Try this:

Power off phone
Press and hold power and Volume Down
Press volume up
Then it should prompt you to install the PB31IMG file.
If that doesn't work let me know in this thread.

fastboot
recovery
clear storage
simlock
factory reset

Ok...name is PB31IMG and place on your sdcard. In theory, there should already be a file there with that same name. Either rename it or move it. Once you do that, power off or remove battery, and power back on by holding down the vol down and power. That should boot you into hboot. If you leave it there for just a sec, it should try and find that image file on its own and pop up a little command prompt in green lettering (at least mine is green), and then you select the vol up to install. If you get 4 lines of green lettering and not the option to install, simply remove the battery at that point and boot again with vol down and power. It will for sure ask you this time for vol up to install and the vol up again to reboot.

No - Pull the battery when it is Off, then replace it and hit the Power and Vol Down button to get into HBOOT.

Nope...no go. :-( No change when not plugged in, but when plugged in, it says hboot usb plug. But nothing prompts me to load or install anything.

Hmmm. Are you sure you have S-Off (different than root)?

Have you tried re-downloading it, or trying a different splash zip?

Can you post the zip you are using as an attachment so we can test it?

I downloaded and tried to flash it, no go. It looks like it's a bad zip. I would download again or try another one from that page.

I have tried several...the one at the OP posted worked like a charm...so now I just want to figure out how to make others work...
