So in addition to the Android update the phone also gets a new LG software version LS990ZV6 to LS990ZV8? And a new baseband (radio) version? All in one sigle update?
This is common. Usually any OS update comes packed with a new modem (radio) and other updated firmware.

Is anyone else experiencing connectivity stability issues on the OTA Lollipop update? I took the update last night and now it won't stay connected to my Jeep's system long enough to finish a song.

I'm not trying extra stuff keep checking for update buy still nothing. Do you guys recommend clean sweep after update?

Some people are but I didn't, I just booted up and let the system settle in for about 15 minutes. Then I booted into stock recovery and did a cache wipe. Everything was smooth from there. Now almost 2 days post update I couldn't be more pleased. LG did a pretty good job prepping this for us.

I haven't tried yet. I will have to sync up to my wife's Ford Fusion and see how things go.

I updated last night and had a few hours of i driving today.. I also have a jeep and i was connected the the entire time with no problems with music or phone calls..

Downloading now in Fort Worth, TX... We'll see how it goes... I'm going to try and avoid a hard reset and see how everything settles in...

UPDATE ... All installed... seems to be running smooth. I have rebooted a couple times and things are running fine. We'll let it run this evening and tomorrow and see how it settles down. So far I really like it.

Just got the update here in snowy Virginia. Let me just say that so far I love it, you can see the visual changes, which I love, and my phone is so much faster in every way. When I switch between apps it is dead on fast, and just every thing in general is 100% faster. I love all the changes. Thank you LG and sprint for delivering a solid update. Say what you want about sprint but I don't see t-mobile or verizon g3 customers with a lollipop update yet.

Hmm still no update for me.
Also how does one boot into stock recovery to wipe cache? Can't I do that in smart clean? This is the first phone I've had in a while I didn't flash custom Roms on. I took the zv6 update and can't root and don't feel like reverting to zv4.

If you have ADB setup on your computer then connect your device via USB cable, open a command prompt and type in
Code:
adb reboot recovery

There is a means to enter manually using button combinations but its very hit and miss. I prefer the ADB method, works every time.

I finally got my update but I can't figure out how to get the extra toggle menu on my LG g3
Are you referring to editing/adding options to the scrollable toggles on he notification pull down shade?

If so scroll all the way to the far right and you will see EDIT.

Just an observation, maybe it's just me, but aren't the home buttons out of proportion (too big). Is there a way to scale them down without being rooted?

OK thanks. I'll give it a go. I know on the lgog it was volume down and power button. The adb method sounds simple though.

Actually I just tried it. It's power and volume down also on the g3. Got me right into recovery and was able to wipe the cache.
