Sprint's LG G2: Release Friday, November 8th.

I went to sprint.com/myorder to see if my G2 had shipped yet. No tracking info there yet, but a chat box opened with an agent asking if I needed help. After several minutes of me identifying myself and my order, he told me the exact same thing sprint.com/myorder told me, and reminded me that I could always check sprint.com/myorder to get the latest status.

Why do they feel the need to be so secretive and ominous about this release? Just be straightforward with us and quit all the games!

What do you want them to say? There is no information about this guy's order. Do you want them to make up a tracking number?

This happens with every release on every carrier. The carriers are saying "why can't customers sit back relax and trust us to get them the info we have when we have it"?

I'm not talking about the tracking information. I'm talking about all the miscommunication and errors on their part. They can't even get consistent images on their website with regard to the mic port on the back. This phone has been out on other carriers for months now... I don't get how they are struggling to hit a date by now. I get that there is a lot of stuff that happens behind the scenes that we don't get, but the whole thing seems disorganized.

Two days out from the supposed launch should not be riddled with such mystery on when customers will be getting their device.
 
Just to be clear, I'm not annoyed with the amount of information I'm getting from Sprint. I think the status I'm seeing on the website is totally fair. I just think it is funny that a Sprint agent approached me via a chat window when he was not going to have any more info than what is available on their website, and then actually referred me to the website I was checking n the first place. Here is my current status:

"Your pre-order for the LG G2 (Black) is at our warehouse. We expect to deliver your phone on or around Friday, Nov 8. Keep an eye out for a shipping email with your tracking information. Thank you for your patience. For the latest status on your order, please continue to visit www.sprint.com/myorder."

And LOL! To get that text, I just logged into sprint.com/myorder. And there is "Mike" in a chat window again, offering to help. It is like he doesn't remember me. I'm hurt!

I just got off the phone with Sprint csr and I was told again that it will be sent out on Friday the 8th and I should get it buy next Friday I'm pissed then I had a superviser call me back to tell me how there sorry for the inconvenience. Then he tells me that he did some checking and it will be mailed out tomorrow and I should have it buy Monday. .kol these people don't have a clue to what's going on with the shipping. I need a phone because my s3 is on its last leg literally. .

I just wrapped up a chat with a CSR on sprint.com. My order status has remained the same as everyone else's for a few weeks now. According to the CSR, I should expect to have my phone by Friday, November 8. He also said he was not aware of any delays in the shipping and delivery of the LG G2 pre-orders. I placed my pre-order on October 11. He also said I check again in 24 hours if I don't get a tracking number via email.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the pre-orders started shipping out today and they've yet to update their status in the disparate systems they seem to use. If I recall correctly, when we got our last devices, we didn't get the tracking # until the day they were scheduled for delivery. Business as usual for Sprint.
 
Well at least you're making some progress. I emailed best buy twice. All they told me was they cannot see when the order would be shipping...just coming soon. They said just watch your email for shipping info. FML. I will be pissed if I don't have it on launch day.
 
I can't remember if it was like this before or not, but I just checked my best buy order online and it says the item cannot be cancelled. If it used to be able to be cancelled, then this would at least be a step in the right direction.
 
Spoke to a rep today ... here is our conversation

Brandon:*I would be happy to check on the status of your order with you today and provide you with any available shipping information at this time.

You:*order number: ******** *I am wondering about the shipping of my pre order item... and I am wanting an honest answer on when it will ship... some people say it will ship so that it comes on Friday and some people say it will START shipping on Friday.... I was under the impression that pre-orders shipped so that they would arrive on the release date. I have been told by several reps that it would be here on Friday, only to be told by others that it would ship on Friday and it's driving me crazy. I just want an honest answer.
Brandon:*Thank you. One moment please.
Brandon:*At this time we due have Nov 8 as a delivery timeframe for pre-orders however we can not guarantee that due to unforeseen circumstance. Once the device does ship you will be emailed a tracking number with the delivery date. In somecase it can be delivered even before the tracking number is sent.
Brandon:*I do recommend checking back in 24hrs for an update on your order.
You:*ok cool... do you have any idea what is the norm for pre orders?
Brandon:*We normally get them to you on the day they are released however I can not predict what may happen but at this time there are no issues.

That's basically it ... rep said it should be here on Friday according to what HE has heard.... but you never know with Sprint.
 
Hah! I also spoke to "Brandon" - good to know that we basically go the same information.

I keep getting this mike cat from Sprint. My case and screen protector just arrived today.. I hope and pray I don't go through with this again.My friends are picking there's up friday I'm soooooo pissed I didn't choose that option..

I tried to choose the pick up in store option but it wouldn't let me when I pre ordered :-( So I'm just praying it comes in on Friday.

When I preordered Oct 16 it said cannot cancel. I wish they would already charge my account!

I called best buy mobile and got my online order switched to express shipping(2-3days). I guess the normal free shipping is up to 10 business days, and at this point I don't want to wait that long. I also could have switched to in store pick up, but I would be have been placed at the back of the line for pre orders and risk not getting a phone for the initial release..
 
I preordered Halo 4 edition Xbox 360 and it came on its release date. One would think the same will happen for a phone.

No didn't say when they will ship. I'm assuming when the phone is released on Friday, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. I can't imagine getting it on the release date without any email or shipping information and just randomly showing up.
