Re: Sprint's LG G2: Tri-Band LTE aka Sprint Spark

Just got mine...but inside and not really sure if it's better yet. Will test tonight at home. I was literally going to take this phone back tomorrow and switch to T-MO. I'll give it a couple more days and see what I think.

It can take up to a week to get any OTA update rolled out to the masses. No rhyme or reason to who gets it and in what order.
We have waited this long. A few more days won't hurt.

No update for me. My wife got her update as she was sitting next to me. Same account, phones purchased 1 week apart.

Re: Sprint's LG G2: Tri-Band LTE aka Sprint Spark-Update released.

My wife and I both have Sprint G2s....I had previously enabled all 3 bands on mine but forgot to do hers....I noticed tonight I was getting LTE in my house but my wife's phone was only picking up 3G so I went ahead and enabled all 3 on hers....now our reception is identical...So I'm wondering if this Spark update is really beneficial....maybe if you actually use Hangouts, which Im assuming is very few due to all the MMS issues...other than that all it adds is an annoying icon

It looks like the update modifies the priority setting from 1-3. Any previous manual modification seems to be over written, at least on my personal handset.

I got my update last night, but bands 26, and 41 still show up as disabled. Should i go ahead and enable them? And what's the priority settings on the bands?

A couple people have noticed that and rebooted to get it to apply the correct settings.

Re: Sprint's LG G2: Tri-Band LTE aka Sprint Spark-Update released.

I got the update this am and now I cannot connect to 4G LTE. I called Sprint and they are trying to figure it out. I've restarted a few times, I've also updated my profile and nothing has worked.

I checked my connection speed last night at I got 23Mbps on 4G, after the update on 3G I'm at .88Mbps... Horrible.

I'm just outside of Philly.

I have not received the update yet. Is there any way to force it? I've done so in the past with other devices...

Wouldn't it make sense to use your location at the PRL to determine the correct priority?

Makes sense to me. Of course you'd need that information disclosed from everyone and who knows what defines that. Maybe zip code. Not sure how dynamic that is but maybe others do.

I think it take a a while to get used to the new settings cause last night I couldn't hold a connection at all and after a full day the connection is holding and battery life is great especially on stand by

I got mine right away. My wife still hasn't. We're in Irvine, CA.
