Still don't see a 2015 phone that i would buy over Droid Turbo

I had a turbo from launch and have had an edge plus for 2 weeks.
i have to say even with lower battery capacity im getting pretty much the same life -- both needed a midday charge to get me thru until 11pm ( i do use the phone a lot )
the camera is a steep upgrade -- the screen a slight upgrade
the form factor is also an obvious upgrade

I liked the turbo but i feel the upgrade i got from note 3 to turbo was less than this upgrade
thats just me though

Interesting about the similar battery life. I played with one of the Edge +'s in the store and loved the form factor of it. Nice and thin. I wonder how the new Moto X Pure is going to be. I think it has a 3300mah battery. And, given all that, the Turbo replacement still hasn't officially been announced or hardly even leaked. I assume they'll still keep a similarly huge battery.

I think I will wait for a phone with Marshmallow 6.1 factory installed before I upgrade. I am over all the OTA drama.

Will the Turbo be my last phone ever?

I like new, shiny things, but is seems that nothing can offer what my Turbo has. After seeing the new crop of Motorola phones I'm thinking the Turbo might be my last.

After having the 'always listening' touchless controls, these are now a must have and I'm thinking my only options will be a Motorola phone. I also like the active notification display and the hand wave thing when it's sleeping. I could live with a bigger display but...

The Style/Pure has a smaller battery, and the Play/X has been reported as being slower/less responsive than the Turbo. Having released these 2 new phones with their current features, I'm wondering if Motorola would again have a phone with the battery size of the Turbo along with it's other features. It would have been perfect if the Style/Pure had a bigger battery or if the Play/X had a better processor (and wireless charging) but it seems that Motorola didn't create a phone with both and now I'm wondering if that combination is behind us and the Turbo will be my only/best option?

I'm spoiled and now must have the Moto 'always listening' feature so I guess that means I have to stick with a Moto/Droid phone. Unfortunately the Style/Pure has a smaller battery and the Play/X a weaker/less responsive processor (from what I've read) and no wireless charging. As the OP title says "Still don't see a 2015 phone that i would buy over Droid Turbo" and i don't know that Motorola will give me that Turbo combination in another phone.

Or, does anyone else make an 'always listening' touchless control like the Moto's? ( waking the phone with an 'okay google' even when the screen is off)

Re: Will the Turbo be my last phone ever?

Disregard. I just read rumored specs of the Bounce/Turbo 2. Yippee

What's this Moto Force that could be issued in Dec., article is on homepage...it looks very similar to the Turbo 2 rumours we've been seeing...

Bigger screen and smaller battery can't do wonders for battery life unless the processor is crazy efficient. And if those pics are anything close to the phone the bezels are far from small. Although I think the phone will probably be close to the same size as the extra screen size is probably via getting rid of the capacitive buttons and just making them onscreen.

I thought I would hold out, but ordered a Moto X Pure Edition. I am so sick of calls not even ringing and going to voicemail. I hope this resolves the problem.

EDIT: If not, getting an N6 cheap and switching to Fi network.

Yeah what is up with all the direct to VM calls and dropped calls? Is that a LP issue or the phone?

Not sure because I haven't experienced this with my Turbo any more than I have with other devices. How often does this happen to you?

As for the topic at hand, I do like the Note 5. I miss having a 5.7" display but its very difficult to convince myself that the display is worth having to deal with TouchWiz again.

I see that the Nexus 6 was made by Motorola. Is it a better phone than the Turbo?

I don't think so unless you want a bigger display. I believe the Turbo had superior battery life which is a key thing for me.

Battery life on the Turbo is MUCH better than the Nexus 6. Its battery is bigger and its screen smaller.
