Stock firmware from another country or carrier

Has anyone tried using a different country firmware on their sm-g935f than the one it came with? Mine is Italy TIM and i was thinking of trying a UK firmware from sam mobile in order to get security update. Mine hasn't been updated since September. I'm in USA on at&t. Thanks.

All G935f FWS Will work with it. So yes download it and flash it with Odin. Mine is French one and I use UK FW

I use UK firmware on AT&T but my phone is the Iraq unlocked variant. You can use the Sam mobile firmware for UK - BTU, assuming your phone is the unlocked version. Your data will be wiped out, there is no other go since you want to change country. After this you will get UK - BTU firmware updates in the phone (OTA) and through the SmartSwitch app. I am not sure what will happen if you initialize the phone with Smart Switch, you might go back to the Italian ROM since it initializes based on your serial number.
