Stock ROM HTC M8

My HTC is on the latest ROM with Vodafone UK , is there a way I can remove the branding or get a lighter version of the ROM excluding some google/vodafone apps or do I need to stick to the Vodafone ROM.

If you root it you can remove all the unwanted apps, But you must have root access. You need to unlock the bootloader, Flash a custom recovery and flash Supersu through recovery. You also have the choice of flashing a custom rom. Here are some links.

Rooting is the issue.. my companies Lotus traveler security does not allow rooted devices.. so was wondering if there was anyother way.

Well, if you wanted to make a project of it, I see a couple ways to go.

Spend $25 on Sunshine to get SOFF, and run the RUU for the US (or internantional, or whatever country) for the unlocked developer version of the phone. That will not be root, so you are compliant and legit, and there is no carrier bloat. You do this, and you do sort of take future software support issues unto yourself, so file that away.

If you want to be silly and risk your job by being all phone hackerried, I have heard of applications that allow you to hide the fact you are rooted from other applications. Rootcloak.
