That's not the point of a battery yo always be charging it.. If we all did that with our phones we wouldn't need a 3300amh battery.

Suddenly Droid MAXX battery last less than 24 hours

With the information given there does not appear to be anything wrong with the phone. In my experience there are very few phones that can come close to the battery life of the Maxx. Is it getting a little less battery life than with the original OS? Yes. But we have more functionality with the newer updates. In my case, I use it 18-20 hours throughout the day without ever worrying if it will make it till the end. When I go to sleep I charge it. That works for me.

First, it's better for the battery's long term life to have a lot of small charges than a small number of large charges. Second, what's the point of not plugging in while you sleep? You're not using the phone anyway.
You need a 3500 mah battery for those days when you need the phone a lot and don't have chances to charge. Most phones these days barely get through a day with normal use without charging or somehow restricting use to save battery life. Not so for almost every maxx user.

firs of all this android system on 60% is a problem there is something wrong with your device like you installed something and its keep your mobile from sleeping

I don't think so; it's pretty typical on a droid maxx and Moto x and I believe is due to some of motorola's additional apps - assist drive mode, which watches fir when you are driving; touchless control, which listens for the "ok Google now" phrase in all apps, with the display on or sleeping; active display, which flashes notifications on and off the screen.
I could be wrong about that but I'd bet if you did a factory reset on a droid maxx without installing any apps it would still show android system high. Also, of course, the battery has to be used by something, so if other apps are not using the battery, android system and android is are.
lucky me i dont have this problem on my motorola now but i have this problem on samsung galaxy s2 and samsung galaxy s3 and it doesnt have any perfect cure you know i did everything like restarting it putting new firmware,custom roms blah blah believe me its android system which is draining you battery so fast
The Android system should not be that high. I've never had the Android system run that high. The highest I ever had was 20% and I knew something was wrong. It was an app that was acting funky. Deleted the app then when battery was at 20% I charged my phone to 100% and that helped clear it up. On my note 3, android system runs pretty high, which is why it's not my daily driver phone, I use it as a tablet pretty much.

Actually, I have a red Droid Maxx lol. It's my phone I use everyday. Tried the turbo for like 2 days and returned it...my maxx just works. Love it!

One was that it could do voice and data simultaneously, which I use daily in my business. Two, was I just liked how the Maxx felt in the hand...it just fits well. I also felt like the Maxx just worked right out the box. For the turbo I had, I had to tap several times on icons to get them to launch. I wish I could take the ballistic nylon and put it on my maxx though lol.

Cache wipe is taking forever for me, is that normal? It's been on "Erasing" for several minutes.
Yes, since the 4.4.4 update, cache wiping takes usually about 10 minutes. They must have decided to do a real, file by file deletion rather than just reformat the cache partition, or something like that.
Okay, I'm not sure about the efficacy of posting in a months-old thread, but since the update last month, my battery life has been really, really bad. My battery is no longer even lasting a full day, and my use is not extraordinary. It used to be that I would charge the phone at night with 20 - 30% battery left, unless I was doing something where I was on the phone a ton. Now, my battery is dying by 8 or 9 pm without extraordinary use.
I've already done a Cache Wipe, and it didn't help. I guess the logical next step is an FDR, but man, I really don't feel like wiping out the phone and starting over! Can anybody suggest anything less extreme?
I thought that turning off the constant monitoring for "Okay Google Now" might help, and I think it might have, but I really like being able to that so I turned it back on.
I've posted a Battery Screenshot. I noticed that the highest use is the Screen, but I have it set to the defaults: Auto brightness, 1 minute turn-off.

I've heard somewhere that auto brightness may have an adverse effect on battery life since the sensor is constantly monitoring the ambient environment and making adjustments; however, I doubt it would have that much effect. The thing we all always liked about our Maxx's is that we didn't have to think about what was on or off; it just worked with plenty left at the end of the day. Maybe just try setting it at an acceptable level and leaving it? Your next highest usage is Android services, which includes location services and I believe also has something to do with dropbox, so maybe check your location settings and dropbox syncing if you have it? But again, we used to not worry about these things, and of course we are a bit spoiled, I know quite a few iphone and other users who would love to get to 8 or 9 pm without having to charge ;-) . . . No, no Dropbox. I haven't really messed with Location Settings at all, so whatever the default was, is still there.

But the main reason I bought the Maxx and its predecessor, was that I didn't have to worry about the phone, I could just USE it, as you said. I really dislike the idea of neutering this phone, like by turning off the Touchless stuff, just to get the battery life I once got.
