So... out of curiosity, can anyone else do a PRL update or a profile update since updating to VD?

PRL does not updat and I get this message.

XPT failed to recieve data (25). Please try again later.

Same message for profile update.

That's part of what I was asking above... basically I know at this point, it appears to break the PRL update mechanism... at least for me...

Once the baseband's installed, the prl update is broken for the vc version as well (if I step backwards)

Everything else seems to work ok... though I did have Swype freak out while trying to backspace in tapatalk earlier...

Edit: basically, I'd taken a nandroid backup and deodexed it so I could have the theme I wanted with the stock rom... but discovered things weren't fully happy - at least not with the PRL & profile update part of it... (this same method worked flawlessly with the VC image)

I do... it never caused a problem with updating the PRL or profile before... but I'd be happy to remove and retest...

Something seems fubar though... logcat shows an SSL error... that might be unrelated... not sure...

No weatherbug. So at least for me, that's not the problem.

Could you try having 3G running and turning on WIFI to see if it shuts off 3G for me. I just want to see if this is just my phone or all phones running VD.

i think 3G and wifi have never run together at the same time on these phones from the beginning.

prl and profile not updating for me either.it may or may not since i really don't know much about prl but some sprint stuff is down at the moment such as mysprint and *2....hopefully when that's fixed this will be?

I thought 3g turning off when you turn on WIFI was standard?...it happens on mine but i didn't mind bc theres no reason for them both to be on at the same time

No LG hang at boot.
Did the [ROM] ThundeROM V1.7 2/20/2011
Wound up with Android version 2.2.1
No LG hang at boot so far.

Neither Nrom or Thunderom for VC support PRL updates...

I'm hoping that this is a case of the sprint systems outage impacting more than expected.

Actually, I just updated my prl and profile successfully on VD... so it's happy again...

Running ThundeROM 1.7 on VD and get no LG logo hang and am able to update profile and PRL.

Then they fixed it... Not too long ago, prl updates wouldn't work on either rom...

Was trying to root new lg via drewwaltons guide, but I have the newer lcd so when I revert to V9 I lose my screen. So was wondering how to root with z4root because I cannot launch the app because I cannot see it.
Any suggestions?
