Switching back from iPhone X, Note 8 or V30? Opinions needed

I am getting rid of the installments, and want to pick one of these two phones. I owned the Note 8 briefly before the X came out, and liked it a lot. It was a bit tall IMHO, but I could deal with it. I am going to pick them up second hand, so it's paid off. What would be your recommendations and why? I'll have to figure out how to get my photos into my MAC photos easily, that would be my only issue by going back. I just can not justify the X costs for a small screen and being limited on what I can do vs Android phones.

Note 8 is the best phone to date can't go wrong with purchasing it. The camera and screen are georgous.

If you used the SPen a lot and enjoyed the huge Display, Dual OIS with x3 Optical Zoom Camera, and extra 2GB RAM (6GB RAM in Note8 vs. 4GB RAM in V30) for heavy usage and Multitasking, get the Note8.

If you never found much use in the SPen or Samsungs extra features, then get the V30 and save some cash.

I just picked up the note 8 with everything including google mini, and wireless Samsung dock, for $620. I think that’s a pretty good deal!

I had a V20 and when it came time for an upgrade I went with the Note 8 because LG had done away with all of the premier features of the 20, the Note had great promotions and accessories and the camera was much better than the V30.

I would also say Note 8, definitely. I haven't had the opportunity to mess around with it much, but I in general prefer the Samsung devices over Lg. It really depends on what you're looking for in a phone, though. Lg V30 may work better for you. I'd say spend some good time with both models before making a decision. Or if you are able, go for both

I picked up a note 8 last night off swappa with google mini and Samsung wireless charger and all original accessories except the headphones for $620. I’m back in the note game! . Now if I can get my
iPhone X sold.

This really comes down to preference on the UI. For me this very aspect was the reason to ditch my V30 and move over to the Note 8. A simple example was when getting a text message..the text box covered a large portion of the top of the screen and could not be responded from as easily like that on the Samsung phones. Another example was the outdated look of the settings menu. Overall these simple yet frustrating issues made my decision easier..also the terrible selfie camera..my Note 5 had a better front camera..watch reviews, many tech peeps agreed

As for photos Google Photos on ios will allow you to move your photos back to Android. Live photos become motion pictures. I use Google Photos on both my 6s and my pixel 2 xl. It allows me to keep my photos on both devices.

Only reason to choose V30 is probably if you want a super wide angle cam

Swappa.com. More reliable and better than eBay. Sold my iPhone x on there with Apple Care plus for $1050.

Didn't want to spend the money on a s9+. I wanted this to be paid off. I got the Note 8 already and it's great! My work phone is due for replacement at the end of the month, I may get the s9+ for it.
