Android Central Question

Hi guys I hope you can help.

So my wife and I are out of our home country right now. We have a sim card however it only works in my phone, for some reason hers doesn't.

So I'm about to head home whilst she will stay for 3 months and will need the sim, therefore it seems the best thing to do would be to switch phones then switch back when we meet again.

I guess it's just a case of switching Google accounts and adding all the apps that we want on each other's phone, but is there a less painstaking way of doing this?

No problem if not, just asking the question incase I can save myself some time!

Cheers!

Assuming that you have no data you can't back up (like game scores), back both phones up, remove the Google accounts, do a factory reset on each, then restore each from the opther's backup. (See Backing up an Android Device - you can switch the texts, apps - everything.)
