I'm switching from the Samsung Galaxy S9 to the S20, my doubts refer to how to handle the memory card. Should I uninstall it or not from the source to the target before the transfer? I have all my photos and audio on the card so basically none of these files are on the S9.
Also,do you have any preference regarding transfer software, I have options like Dr. Phone, Syncios , Phone copier express.
Please advise.

I can't speak for everyone but I've always just took the card out of one phone and stuck it in the other without issue or losing anything. New phone recognized and showed everything on the card. Me personally I usually don't transfer anything other then my photos, music and I transfer my phone and messages via SMS back up. I always set up a new phone as new just to make sure I don't bring over any residual issues to the new phone that may have been on my old one, probably not needed but that's just me.

For Samsung to Samsung, SmartSwitch app works great. You can use a cable, wireless, or even restore from an SD card.
