T-Mobile BOGO forcing me to change plans

Has anyone successfully purchased a second unit using the TMo BOGO promotion? I currently have the $120 plan with 4 lines and 10 GB data per month. When I attempt to add a line, it forces me to change to the $150 with unlimited data plan. Has this happened to anyone else?
 
It's because your plan may not be available anymore. They offer $150 for unlimited data now

You need to be on simple choice or other current plan.
My friend is on an old plan (4 lines of unlimited data for $100), and he couldn't get it on his plan.
