T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Ordered a midnight black on today, wish I would have known about the shipping. (Went with overnight) coming from a s8+.

I went through I don't know how many reps. Apparently there's an error with my account because of the Note 7 fiasco. They tell me the error should be dealt with soon and I should be able to pre-order next week, so I guess I'm just going to wait it out. It's been a huge pain .

how do you get the the preorder gift. The T-Mobile rep told me I have to register when I get the phone on Samsung website

does the pre owned N7 discount work through Samsung only or can we do it through TMO website?

Be careful with those early orders. IIRC, some of the early pre-orders had issues with their "gifts" due to a time zone issue which put them outside of the qualification period.
I am personally going to wait a couple of days at least to make sure they have their systems in place and in working order. Sometimes, the early reps you get don't know everything, either.

Samsung fixed that problem after the Note 7 I thought. I was affected by that with the Note 7 but didn’t have the problem when I went with the S8+.

No the discount only works through Samsung website,so for the first time I preordered through Samsung, got the T-Mobile black note 8 and got the $425 trade in discount.

I've been 50-50 with this phone since the early leaks been releasing the last couple weeks the camera looks amazing and lately I've been getting into photography I think that camera put me overboard gonna pre order tonight so excited

I'm sure most know already but if you got the S8+ at launch and payed this months monthly, we still got 4x more months before we can use JUMP (version 2 I guess). So it'd be $120 along the Note 8 down payment if you wanna do it. So roughly $400 now.

Ouch. How long does the promos go for? Maybe I'll wait to switch if I do.

It Show On the PreOrder error Device Protection is not Showing And the order does not come up to wait 45 hours for it to show LOL i pay for something why so scared lol

I got the S8+ in May on JOD an I Have 1 jump left for the year and I'm using it.

Actually, they changed the JOD terms and now you can Jump! once a month. Not that you'll need to, since we are unlikely to be graced with another high-end Samsung phone this year. :)

Not if you do it via Twitter. See my post a page or 2 back.

I have been TMO customers for years and I am sad to say while they are making record profit they are really lowering their customer service skills. I have been jump on demand (2) customer for years and in the past when I have preordered my S7 edge, LG G6, and S8 they have given me free overnight shipping and no processing fee. Last night as I was placing my order not only they wanted to charge me $20 processing fee for calling them, which BTW was only Optio for JOB customers, they also wanted to charge me $7 for 7 day shipping. WHAT IS POINT OF PRE ORDER IF THEY SHIP ME THE PHONE 7 DAYS AFTER IT'S RELEASED. I cancelled my order and will just pick it up at a local store. I was holding TMO at higher standards, but I guess they are just like everyone else. If there is a TMO rep on this chat I would love to hear what is going on.

I never thought about the whole getting it AFTER street date if you choose standard shipping. What a total scam. It's like they force you to pay for overnight shipping to get it on time.
I guess the $25 is more like "you don't need to stand in line for hours at our store to get your phone on street date" fee.
