T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

I had the original Jump ON Demand then paid out of pocket to get out of that plan and enter a new one where I could JUMP anytime during the year, 3x per year, regardless of how much I owed on the phone. Now, they're telling me I have to have 50% of the phone paid off before I can jump!

JUMP has always been 50% paid off. And to get the trade in deal for this N9 phone, the phone had to be completely paid off.

I think the rep was confused by all the plans tmobile offers.

No, I think that version of JOD started later from when I got it. I've never paid half of my phones and was able to JUMP. Three jumps per year. Once even I jumped within 2 weeks from my previous jump. It saved me the restocking fee. So for sure I hadn't paid 50% off of that phone and I was allowed to jump again, but that left me only one more jump left in my 1 year period, November to November.

Actually, I just got done chatting with them and two different reps are now telling me I'm in a JOD plan where I can jump 12 times a year, once every 30 days. I didn't care to ask for further details. I'm going to go into the store.

There's several programs.

JUMP not on demand allows an upgrade with 50% of the phone paid off.

JOD does the 12 times a year.

Not sure how you got away with the 2 week's trade in. Lucky you.

Make sure you say the "on demand" part clearly each time you talk to customer service. You've been leaving it off on your posts here when you mention JOD.

You have 20 days to return a phone if purchased on-line (14 days in-store). That is probably how he did in 2 weeks.

That's what I was gonna do to get the 512gb but I'm on JOD so I would have to pay almost $400 to turn in my s9+ and it wouldn't be worth it in the end. Really disappointed in JOD and that's the only reason I switched to t-mobile.

If you were to "jump" to a really cheap phone, and then either return it or pay it off, you can get out of JOD pretty easily. Unofficially of course, and you probably have to return the device the next day or something to make it look less sketchy.

I just placed my order, $88.75 with tax with next day free shipping, I'm on JUMP ON DEMAND. I did the whole process via Twitter Direct Message.

I stopped at Best Buy today after work to check this out. I really like the Ocean Blue color. Didn't have time to play with it. Best Buys always hounds me, especially when they know I'm with T-Mobile and not with Verizon. But I liked what I seen and can't wait to mine next week.

T-Mobile has 3 jump verisons. Jump 1.0 the original jump is twice a year and you became eligible to jump after having your first phone 6 months.

I realize it's a bit early to be asking, but anyone get their card charged yet?

Jump on demand downpayment is $81. Wish it was $0 but at least it's better than the $279 asking downpayment for EIP.

It's definitely quieter in the forums than usual. Hopefully we'll get some shipment info in the next couple of days

I have a golf outing next Friday so hopefully it shows up by Thursday. I won't be able to concentrate on golf while my phone is sitting home alone. Not to mention my teenage son might get curious and open it before me. My favorite part of getting a new phone is unboxing. That's why I hate buying in store.
