T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

I just pre-ordered on Tmobile store the ocean blue 512gb and under my order it says won't ship until 8/29 through 9/5 even though when you're going through checkout it says estimated delivery is 8/24.

Anyone else's say this under their order on the website? I did a chat on the T-Mobile app and the representative told me that I'll actually get it on the 21st and not the 24th which is completely wrong from what my order says.

I was told that my phone would be shipped on the 24?Who knows!
Did you pay for shipping?
I paid $14.99!..I am Puzzled as to why some people were charged for shipping, while others fees were waived!...

I made the entire transaction over the TMobile chat on the app and I said I thought that the pre-order had free 2-day shipping and he said he'll just comp it for me. Do you have an actual receipt or email that shows you paid that much for shipping?

if I were you I would go on the T-Mobile chat on the app and ask if you did pay for shipping and why did you not get the promotional shipping for the pre-order. I just got off the chat and asked if I paid for shipping and this is what they said...

"I do see you received our pre-order promotional shipping. That means when it ships it will come to you within 1-2 business days and there is not a charge for the upgraded shipping! Yay!"

Hey guys, as someone who's done this a few times before, I wouldn't worry about it. I remember with the Note 8 and S9+, I was told my phone would ship between two days before release date, and release date itself. My S9+ came two days early and my Note 8 came OVER A WEEK early. In both cases I paid the $15 for two-day shipping. This time I did the same, and it says my phone will ship on the 24th. Realistically I expect to have it by Wednesday of next week.

Relax, we are all but guaranteed to have our phones by release day. Granted, there's a first time for everything, but I doubt there will be any foibles.

Jump on demand downpayment is $81. Wish it was $0 but at least it's better than the $279 asking downpayment for EIP.
Not for me. I wouldn't complain about it not being zero. Most aren't getting the $81 down deal.
$40 plus tax, so like $43
I just thought about this today (since I'm not qualified yet). Why is the payment $40 per month instead of around $38.20? If you're financing $919, it shouldn't be $40. 40 x 24 = 960. Am I missing something? My Note8 was $936 and the payment is $39.

It's definitely quieter in the forums than usual. Hopefully we'll get some shipment info in the next couple of days
I hear ya. I think most people got squeezed out because of the down payment. Less people pre-ordering, less people posting replies.

It could be. XDA forums is really really quiet too. Not like the Note 8 or s8 Plus.

JOD terms are 18 month instead of 24. And I believe the payments aren't actually designed to pay the phone off after 18 months. At the end of 18 months there's a final, larger payment to actually own the device outright

I agree. Pre ordered alot of phones. I think they will ship Monday...and most will start to get them Tuesday/we'd.

Totally! I'm bummed, I always look forward to the hype trains here and on xda. There's a palpable excitement when folks start chiming in that they've been charged, then all the "me too!"s kick in and it's just fun.

Even if they ship out Monday, I probably won't get it til Friday or Sat. because stupid me I chose the cheapest delivery method. I chose the $6.99 which is the slowest ground shipping UPS has. At $ $279 + tax + shipping=$359.99. That's a lot of money for me. Now I wish I had chosed to order through the T-Mobile app chat or twitter DM. Uggghh

This whole $81 or $279 down thing is stupid. $81 down plus $40 a month for 18 months is $801. $279 down plus $30 a month for 18 months is $720.
Math is not their friend.

I got a $200 bill credit towards my $279 down and it's only $29 a month.

I don't think they care if I stay or if I go lol. I had 3 lines and threatened to leave. Then I canceled 2 of the lines and they still called my bluff lol.
I can afford the $279 down but I refuse to give it for sake of principal.

I payed the $14.99 shipping rate.... I believe that is 3 day shipping?.. There were several people on the Android form that didn't pay for shipping! It was waived!
