T-Mobile S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

Once again, I'm here, every year I say I'm not going to do it again, but here we are...

Ordered through T-Force
128GB Black S10+
Traded in a LG V20 for $250
got EIP with $$260 down

Just orderd my wife the prism white. The rep was nice enough to give me free overnight. Im going to wait for Note 10 for me.

Tmobile told me they weren't waiving overnight shipping. Uhhhhh

Bummer, I wonder if you can contact them to upgrade your shipping? I told my rep I always get overnight so I'll need overnight shipping. She said 'of course!!'. It lists my order as overnight.

I do it twice a year saying "be back in six months!" Gotta say that JOD is a decent deal.

Same here. This was the 25th. Told him I've always received free overnight. He said their systems aren't offering it. I asked if it could be upgraded later if overnight becomes available he said not unless you cancel the order and place again. Stupid.

It was, until they started slapping down payments on everything. It's such a waste of money for something that's getting traded back in 6-12 months. *sigh* the price we pay to have the latest and greatest

Yeah I will admit that with a $550 trade in offer, JOD is costing me about the same as buying directly. I suppose it's a question of whether you want the freedom to switch carriers or the freedom to switch phone models. If T-Mobile starts to suck I might have to pay off my phone and start buying my phones outright instead.

They do need to rethink their JOD. Every other carrier offers 0 down payments and less per month for their phones.

@CardsFan80: you're with TMobile, right? did you do a JOD or did you doing an outright purchase? thanks in advance. it's remarkable that you were charged so early! no one else has been charged who is on this thread. Wow.

Yeah, TMobile and JoD. I remember my Note 8 order was the same, card charged but the phone did not ship for a few days.

@CardsFan80: wow, twice in a row!

wonder what the unique or special circumstances are that you're in that your card was charged so incredibly early compared with all the rest of us? Are you in an unusual area of the US? i.e. not part of the contiguous 48 states? or some other circumstances?

I do JOD....the down payment sucks a bit ..but I trade in every 6 months too...from Note to the newest S line. I really don't use S pen much....but like having it there if I did want to use it. Is there another carrier that allows u to upgrade like JOD whenever u want? I don't know of any but would be interested to know if there was.

I'm right outside St. Louis.

@CardsFan80: mmm, outside of St Louis doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary, right? I wonder why you continuously get charged first (a good thing, in this case ;) ?

wonder if it has to do with something OTHER than geographical?

It's the avatar. Anyone with 80s cartoon heroes in their display pic gets their phone first, and I think it's a fair rule.

I wish I could say my device is shipping or something, but my Note 8 was charged a few days and other people got charged and labels made.

Seems this time it's the same way so far.
