T-Mobile users make sure you're using a 5G SIM card.

Also had the strangest experience at the T-Mobile store... you're not allowed to enter the store. Had a employee set up outside the store with a table and tablet computer. You stand in line, he ask why you've come. If you need a sim card, he opens the door and yells to the 2 employees sitting down to bring me such or such. They bring it outside. He rings up your purchase there, outside the store, on the sidewalk...

Not sure if that is corporate approved.
That isn't the experience I have at my T-mobile stores here where I live.

Mine was open when I got my phone. People walked in. I had made an appointment online, but it wasn't needed. I just did to make sure they had the black N20U.

I found the new SIM card in my N20U box. Just changed it, so I'll see what happens on the next call. I don't get many, and right now with work changed, it's a few even with my work phone forwarded. But on Friday it did go to 4G LTE.

Here's the funny part. After opening the sim tray and finding a large paperclip didn't work and using a large safety pin, I noticed something on the top of my box. It was thick and I could pull it out. It was a little box with the basic info and warnings, and also... a sim tray key tool. 🙄

Speeds has improved since 1st test with new sim. Still not the blazing speeds some are get but this will do for now.

114 Mbps down is ok, but 5 Mbps up is pretty weak. I've gotten up to 144 Mbps down and 17 Mbps up on LTE, 73 down and 51 up on 5G. That's with my old sim card--I've ordered the new one but haven't received it yet.

Here is what you do with a pink T-Mobile sins card.

Turn phone off then on then turn wifi off then on then put your wifi password in again then you will need to do your car

Sorry, I'm not following you. What does WiFi have to do with the sim card?

then put your wifi password in again
Why would I need to reenter my WiFi password if it hasn't changed?

then you will need to do your car
What does it mean to "do" my car, and what does it have to do with the sim card?

Mt buddy I grew up with, has a Samsung note 20 ultra.
I send both him and his wife the link on pink.sims cards.
So they went and got them.

Dude at T-Mobile called in and got these directions.
His phone wasn't working right.
After everything..they said they can't tell any difference.

You also need to look and make sure 5G networks is turned on.

See BigMosley's post above. I followed that and it worked fine. Tmobile website has more info if you need it.

You do not need wifi to change SIM cards.

Some people live where they depend on a wifi signal, to get their phone to work.

And some people have metal roofs.

They don't live in the city.
They are out in the country. On the side of a big hill.
Nobody's carrier services will work.

So with wifi..
They can get phone service.

I know people living in cities don't think of this...
Where I live in the country.
Trees are all around me.
I might have a few bars, the wind blow and I loose a signal too.
With WiFi calling. I can stay connected..

Some get both. I use wifi at work, but don't have it at home. I have unlimited with tmobile and even over 50gb (long month last month), it didn't slow down where I live (why I hate the thought of moving).

The instructions could have said to turn wifi off IF you're using wifi. Like you said not everyone is using data but not everyone is using wifi.

Okay, I am confused.

I am getting a new Note 20 Ultra tomorrow. I absolutely NEED to keep my current telephone number. I was planning to simply switch my current, non-standalone 5G SIM to my new Note 20 Ultra phone to keep my current phone number but now you all are saying that if I do, I will not non-standalone 5G. That makes sense but I would really love to have and want non-standalone 5G. So is there a way for me to keep my current telephone number and have non-standalone 5G on my new (possibly unlocked) Samsung Note 20 Ultra on T-Mobile?
