Two S7s in house, same android version of android, never saw that message once.

Just the Tab a.

I cleared the print spooler cache AND the Canon print plug in and my tab A was able of print one email.

Asking again, has anyone received a real perminant fix for this problem we all discuss above or any feedback from Samsung or GoogleGmail?...since none of the fix options described by few others work.

Same issue for me as well. I have tried installing and reinstalling the HP app. I can get it to intermittently work by installing "cloud print". When it stops working I uninstall and reinstall and it may or may not work. similar to the HP app itself.

Does anyone know of a printer that does work? This is extremely frustrating

I read this forum every day. I have mobile printed for the last 7 years! Epson, canon, ho, hammermill..always fine. All of a sudden this error. I have tried all of the above suggestions. Sometimes it will print one page..and then go right back to the error message. I am very frustrated. Spent one hour with samsung help...she remotely accessed my phone. She couldn't fix it. Told me to go to BEST BUY and speak with samsung representative. ABSURD

After clearing print spooler and Canon print plugin, I got to print ONE email. Today, back to same error.

I have had many android devices and very familiar with print services. I have never seen this error. I have a new Tab A and have the default Samsung print services, canon print services, and brother print services installed. When I try to print from the stock email app it finds the printer but no matter what print service I use it previews the pages, I hit print and get the error message: "Failed to change the settings. Please try again". Makes no sense.

I was able to print to my brother from my chrome browser with the brother print service. The Canon said "the print spooler has stopped".

However I really need to print certain things from email. Any ideas on what is causing this error? My S7 edge running the exact same android version prints fine from email.

Thanks for any ideas,
BJB1

I found a trick that is working for me each time you get that error close that window go back to your printer app and reinstall the printer even though there is a check mark next to the already installed printer...just check it again and it will say printer successfully installed . I am using the hammermill print app...for some reason it works and I can go back in and print! I don't know why I have to keep doing this but this is working for me

For some reason this trick helps me I am using the hammermill app when you get the error message close that page go into your application and click on the printer and reinstall it..... you don't need to delete anything just click on the printer that's already there and reinstall it... it will say your printer was successfully installed.. now when you go back to print it will work I don't know why it works but this is working for me

This post is from a fella named Tom & given to him by Samsung support on another website its posted. For me uninstalling updates worked didn't have to disable & enable android web view. This has been driving me nuts for 3 weeks lol Thanks Tom!

Tom:
I still can't print Gmail emails. I received the following email from Samsung today:

"We have got the investigate feedback from R&D team, they found this is a Google WebView issue. Here is the information from R&D:
Description: Description: Description: Description: cid:image002.png@01D241C7.6A862800
Here give you a temporary workaround. You can try to downgrade Android System WebView (reset it to a factory version). The following steps can be done on Galaxy phones for that:
· Go to Settings->Application manager
· Touch More button and select “Show system apps”
· Open Android System WebView
· Touch Disable button (and touch Disable or OK or Agree in each popup)
· Touch Enable button.
Also auto update of Android System WebView should be disabled (it can be done in Play Store app).

Hope this can help you, please feel free to let us know if you have any issues, thanks."

This worked! Thanks! How do you disable the updating of just that one app?

For me I have updates turned off.
Settings
General
About device
Software updates
& uncheck auto update & wifi only
I manually check once in a while for updates. But to disable just android system web view updates go to google play store search for android system web view touch dots in top coner & uncheck auto update.

Figured it out. Even ghough I am 100% sure that I had unchecked the auto update box, somehow it updated. I disabled etc. And back to printing.

The post from Mblady above IS the fix. You just have to keep an eye on updates.

Are you kidding? I don't know what most of this means! I need to print travel documents. Are they going to develop a correction for us almost tech people?

Ya'll are my freaking heroes. I was so happy when I got my new Samsung Galaxy AMP Prime and that it worked flawlessly with my HP 2540 printer (because my last dirt cheap phone did not) and then *bam* suddenly it wouldn't work. Reverting the web view app did the trick!!!
