Tablet screen screen too touchie

[Android Central Question]

I have an Alcatel Joy Tab 2 running Android 10. I've owned several Android tablets including an earlier version of the Alcatel and all have behaved nicely, but this Joy 2 has a screen that's too touchie when I'm using the YouTube app, Hulu, Prime Video, etc.. As I'm trying to swipe up, the video that's close to where my finger was launches. Ann recommendations?
