Talk me out of getting a V30

Ignoring my own previous post. I want the V30 now. LG gets me with their marketing every time. I should've have watched V30 videos, but those Pixel prices were a huge turn off.

Going to wait until the prices drops, though, and then hope for the best.

I was not worried about LG making the XL until I read this forum. Does it matter in the end rather it is built by HTC or LG?

Opinions will differ, however it is being built to Google specs. I think LG is fine and did not have any issues with my G5 that couldn't be resolved. The V20 has been great and a minor issue I had was resolved by a factory reset.

Thank you. You answered many questions I had about LG phones.

I don't think the V30 will be for me, because I cannot bare having another phone that sends me updated security patches once every eight months, or a phone that sounds like it has Samlag-esque performance issues.

New Pixels or perhaps one of the Xperias are looking like the best options now.

Samsung phones have lag? My Note5 sure doesn't.

I currently have a Pixel XL and was all set to upgrade to the 2 but I'm being swayed by the LG V30. It just looks better in almost every area and isn't as bland as the Google phone. I'm very impulsive and can't wait till October 4th to see what the XL 2 will offer. Do you think it will actually be any better than the V30?

Better at what? Audio? No. Everything else? Yes.

@Aquila well maybe not everything else. (v30 can also boast Wireless charging , Dual cameras, TMO's new 600Mhz band support). But overall point taken, for me it's the Pixel 2 XL ..

And to a very, very small number of T-Mobile users now who somehow have serious connection issues but are in an area where they are deploying the new tech. It's a non-issue to 99.9999% of the population.

Based upon what we know so far the DAC and camera on the V30 put it over the Pixel 2. The only bad things about the V30 are no Project Fi and slower updates.
