I am hoping we have better options than the s7 edge.

I ordered this one: MP-Mall Screen Protector. I figured I either get 2 really good ones or 2 crappy ones with a lifetime guarantee. LOL

Ignore the ratings as these aren't even out yet and both reviews have one word each, "Good" & "Bad". Why do peeps do that? geez

Anyone come across any others?

Was about to get the MP-Mall one, but ended up with the Tauri which looks and is priced identically, and even have that 'lifetime warranty.'

The LUVVITT one I got for $3.97 will also be coming in soon, and the only reason I got it is because it's listed as 'case-friendly' in the event that the Tauri or MP-Mall aren't.

Buying everything on Prime gives a better chance for returning and getting full credit back.

Unfortunately I don't see any compatible for the Arctic Silver phone these protectors have black at the top and bottom

Also I was wondering there was a lot of debate on whether or not a screen protector is necessary with the gorilla glass 5

Not sure what there is to debate. It is still scratch resistant not scratch proof. Find dirt or sand with a single hard enough crystal and it will scratch when you brush it away. Wear good jewelry? Same boat! And it cannot be repaired. It all depends on how badly you want that $750 device to remain perfect.

I have yet to see a tempered glass work on the curved galaxy screens that didn't end up trapping air bubbles under the center or immediately popped off when a case applied pressure to the side lip. Also for some reason a lot of protectors put that bottom and top masking, wtf is up with that? spent less time on useless paint and more on making better glass.

I will most likely be cutting a custom polyurethane skin from my sheet for the first day while waiting for a good maker like xtremeguard to finally release theirs. I cut mine with an exacto knife and the edges leave lots to be desired. Poly skins look great but alas not much can be done with that rubber feeling.

Yeah one thing i wondered was why have the top & bottom masked. Why couldn't it just be all clear...

Received my GPEL S8+ Tempered Glass Screen Protector from Amazon. Took a few days since it wasn't Prime, but I'm a bit concerned because the curvature of the sides of the glass don't seem as pronounced as the Tauri ones I received (and returned) for the S8.

Granted, I wanted to get this one because it was listed as 'case-friendly,' so there is a millimeter less on all sides which is why it doesn't feel as curved.

I agree. Nor is it crack proof. The screen protector does more than just protect if from scratches. My phone came out of its bracket while bike riding. It landed on the screen and the only thing that saved it was the glass screen protector. It took the brunt so the only thing that I needed to replace was the screen protector itself. A $30 screen protector and a $30 dollar case saved me a few hundred dollars and the inconvenience of replacing/repairing the phone.

Based on what I've read here, I'm not sure a glass screen protector is the best option. I may go with a plastic. Even then I'm leery. I had a Lumia Icon and the edges were curved, so getting a screen protector of any kind that fit properly was problematic. I do want one. Like my previous response, I've had a glass screen protector give its life to save the phone.

So I am going to wait see what everybody's feed back is from actual use before forking out some cash.

First tempered glass video for the Galaxy S8 + and it's a FAIL in my opinion.

Otterbox Alpha glass has the Dot Matrix which means that there is no adhesive on the actual display area of the glass.
Glad I didn't order this one.

Wouldn't get a Tempered glass. They tend to leave a residue on the top and bottom of the phone. I'll just leave my phone exposed lol

Other than it works better with Otterbox cases, I'm not following your reasoning.

I have been through hundreds of dollars in the past trying every tempered glass for these curved screens and none of them work. The ones with the "Dot Matrix" on the display are real pieces of $hit and I would avoid like the plague.

I love the feel of tempered glass, but with a curved phone they just don't fit dependably. One guy gets one that fits great and the next person gets one that sucks.

I would go with a wet application one if I wa going to get one. The have a little more drag one the screen but work great for little scratches and light drops.

Ok. I don't know a whole lot about dot matrix screen protectors. I would think that no adhesive on the actual screen would be a good thing. When I searched dot matrix screen protectors, I couldn't find a whole lot of info on how they work.
