Where are our other GN users? I'd love to hear from more than one source on these issues. This isn't the first time Samsung built a CDMA phone.
I understand his point. My point was that the 4.1 update was ready before 12/9. That would tell me it was ready for release "officially". Had it been released on 12/9, the update would have pushed out immediately. A pre-release phone with no support would not be ready for release.I think you guys are missing the OP's point. It seems clear to me that that he's simply pointing out what a lot of people couldn't/wouldn't believe: The phone isn't ready for release. I don't see where he blames anyone.
read into it what you want
4.0.2 better fix a few major bugs and I hope its almost finish because this is definitely in my opinion the reason for delays. Trust me until they fix this you don't want the phone. Not being able to enjoy what it can do is more frustrating than not having it...trust me.
Now I don't root and all that so take it for what you will...but if you can fix signal outages for over an hour...not being able to switch to 3g only....not having service to place calls when you are showing three bars....and oh yea having no sound emit from your speakers....then by all means keep being frustrated. As for the rest of us just wait until that damn update is ready.
..then again i could just have a total lemon pos unit and got incredibly lucky yet even that much more unlucky.
Back when I started following this forum closely back in June I was happy with getting a 3G Galaxy S II because I didn't feel like Verizon's LTE radios were good enough. Then Verizon skips on the GS2 because they're pushing 4G phones.
I understand why Verizon wants to sell 4G phones. First of all they're charging $100 more for the phones. Second, they have (at least in perception) an edge over their competition in the size of their LTE network. I just want a phone that works. The GS2 is the best Android phone out there and Verizon customers aren't allowed to purchase it. Instead we're being forced bug riddled 4G phones.
Have we already forgotten about this thread? http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-galaxy-nexus/139536-vzw-employee-view-delay.html
Like I've been saying - Wallet has nothing to do with this. It's all firmware issues revolving around getting the CDMA+LTE radio to work. Just like with almost every other VZW LTE phone released this year.
I don't think the radios are a problem at all.
This, however, makes me wonder. Anytime the gubmint gets involved with anything there's always problems... lol
Funny how that post speaks of the message only going to 'droid operated phones', while the picture is the screenshot of an iphone. #Epicfail *faceplam*
FWIW, Phandroid has now been throwing out Dec 20th as a release date.

I don't care how f-ing buggy it is! Fetch hither le Nexus de la Belle Google!
I'm still on a DingleBerry Bold. Any half-operational android would be a massive improvement.
The word I got for the delay was that the GNex crashed the network last week (the massive data outage). They said similar events occurred just before the launch of the Charge and Stratosphere. Maybe it is a software issue?
Maybe this phone just wasn't meant to be on a CDMA/LTE network.

Can we get a script or something on this forum that autodeletes/bans any user that says they want the phone now and dont care how buggy it is?
If you had bought a Thunderbolt at launch you wouldn't even think about saying that. Although it's half decent now, it was buggy as hell at first and nearly unusable.
