terrible bugs in my Gnex

Sfbates, I have been reading these forums everyday and have not come across you battery life yet. I have the thunderbolt now and would like an improvement. Sorry if this has already been asked. Thanks in advance

I probably just have a lemon. But its crazy that three were sold to forum users and one was already a lemon?? Pretty scary.....33%

Sfbates got just as lucky as i got unlucky. Only time will tell....i have notices a simple reset is fixing the signal issues....but im getting horrible signal readings on 4g and wifi...yet its running smooth so who knows

I had both my charge and nexus at 100 percent . My charge has 87 and nexus 67 and i have been streaming sirius on my charge because the nexus wasny working. My charge has better battery life.

Battery use is way to subjective to be concerned with what a few are experiencing. Especially when one of them is obviously displeased with the phone and says it's not working properly.

Why not just send us a screenshot of battery usage on both phones? That would clear up a lot. zxphenomenalxz you game?

I could imagine if he has had the nexus screen on all day for work that would drain battery faster than music with the screen off.

Well this may be true i just checjed and my charge display is at 11% use and nexus 56 but my nexus brightness is midway and chargr is at lowest.

But i been on my charge just as much for textng . I dint use my nexus at work really . What i think killed it most was thr fact that my.pandora and sirius had to keep trying to constantly connect as to with charge its a consitant connection. Both on wifi .

The battery life isn't that great my charge also had better life with similar useage. I bought the spare battery and charger kit. Never did that before with an device bit now I see first hand how nice having a swap able battery is. If I had to the the thunderbolt again I would do two standard batteries vs a hump in the back. The nexus extended option doesn't really add enough juice to me to be worth it vs the extra battery option. The phone boots fast enough where it doesn't effect daily use age

So I was running stock battery today
I woke up at 7am, i run my brightness on auto and have twitter refresh every 30min and facebook every 4.

i am what i consider a "heavy user". I am always on it. it's embarrassing but i bet i check twitter every 15-25 min. I also have 4 gmail accounts getting emails all day long.
today i also streamed on google listen the Engadget podcast for 2 hours and those 2 hours i had screen off and it burned 22%..

i have been on the forums on my gnex a lot today
i was looking at about 10% of battery life an hour used....

I also did notice the extended battery witch is only 300mah more, does make a difference..

anything is better then the thunderbolt... that thing was stock battery DEAD in 4 hours or less...

regardless, if you are a heavy user, get use to a charger.. it's not that inconvenient.. i have one in my car and one in bedroom and one in living room and one at computer. when ur phone is sitting on the couch, plug it in.

Not really impressed by the battery after coming from the iPhone 4 which could give me a few days battery depending on usage.

I'll read reviews of the extended battery before I buy it, though. $50 is too much for only an extra hour or two.

Awesome, thank you. I am also a heavy user have chargers everywhere even with my extended battery for the thunderbolt.

Does running wifi drain the battery more than if I leave it on 4g? Really there's no point since my 4g is faster than my cable, but it's just habit now :(

Its new technology I think for VZW. I wonder if AT&T will learn from some of VZW's problems.
o

I think they already have. They aren't rapidly deploying like Big Red did. They won't suffer the same kind of cluster-eff situation. Longer deployment will likely mean a more stable product, ultimately anyhow.

I can deal with bugs....its android there will always be minor bugs. However I can't deal with the major issues some are describing.

But to me, its not a final product yet. Once I get it at the vzw store then I'll expect it to work.

I think that's the key to everything. We're postulating on an unfinished product that Big Red isn't satisfied with. Save the blame for all this till they actually unleash a bug riddled phone upon the masses. This can't be labeled a TB, Charge or Bionic til then so save your breath til it can be labeled a <insert product name here>. If if gets released w/ a smorgasboard of nastiness, pull out the flamethrowers and burn them alive, just wait til it happens. We all will have free unrestricted reign once it becomes reality.

Well the good news is when this comes out on friday it will be coincided with the software update. Hopefully the update will be pushed out before then so i can give u guys feedback on it but we shall see... but from what i was told from fellow co workers this phone was unfinished and verizon was waiting for the software and that one of the biggest issues was because of the horrible reception and 3g / 4g hand off.

I think they will all run this well. I really think that some people are smart phone repellant. I've enjoyed every smart phone I've owned and been mostly trouble free with them all (even the Storm 1 and 2), but there are always threads of how terrible every device is. I think some are made up (probably by iphone lovers), some are users that always install the same crappy bug ridden apps, and some that are owned by people who are cursed.

That's been my situation as well. The only phone I had issues with are the Bionic but I only had it for two weeks. I'm really ready for this phone. Hopefully it will update immediately.

Here is my battery life from today on the GSM version. I wonder how the Verizon version will compare. I think it just depends on how each person uses their phone. This phone has been as good as my Iphone 4.

I'd be thrilled to get this kind of battery life.

Sent from somewhere using something to send it.
