Text messages

Ok so I've had no problems with having a group chat and me being the only android person out of my friends who all have iPhone. Well that all changed today. Ive got the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Now the texts are all coming in separate and not in the normal group chat. I was using the messages to the left and all was good. Just switched back to the one on the right to see if it fixed maybe but no. Sooo now I'm at a loss. Suggestions?

Use the one on the left which is Google messages.

I don't think I like the "suggestions" of Google Messages.

I like the way Google Messages handles the SMS delivery receipts, over how Samsung Messages does it.

I don't like the "plug" for Google Duo to start a video call, at the top of Google Messages. I wish I could get rid of that. It's almost a built in ad, because I don't have Duo installed so it takes me to Play Store to try to get me to download the Duo App.

I like the fact that one can basically pair the Google Messages app to a browser and then SMS message from basically anywhere. With Samsung, Flow can be used to SMS message from one's Samsung Tablet. However, the ability to essentially do SMS from also a browser (a Google Messages App feature) is cool.

I still do. I love that I can set a different notification icon for certain contacts instead of using a call tone. That's the main reason I won't stop using it.
