Text Messaging Failed Notifications

My Evo would do that using GO SMS, but my S3 hasn't done it yet. I think it's when you're in a bad reception area....Lord knows my Evo signal got bad before it expired.

And I stand corrected...it happens frequently now...but the other person DOES get the text.

Tammy,
What's special about those two contacts (if anything - different carrier; iPhone; different timezone; etc)?

I had this same problem and one of the threads about it suggested downloading Handcent and trying it. So I did that without restarting or anything else and Handcent worked, although it would not send the previous failed messages. So I copied the text from those and pasted them into handcent and resent them. Oddly enough, I tried the native app and it started working after I used Handcent. Strange.

I had the same problem - driving me crazy for the past 2 days......turns out I had 2 failed messages that were in threads from a few weeks back - when I deleted those, the annoying notification went away. Hopefully to stay.......:D

I too have the same sent failed message. Most of them get to the other person, but alot don't. I have an LG motion I just bought last month. I've had the same phone for a year but I broke the first LG motions screen. It still works just fine, but I wanted a new one. They are great phones. Anyway back to the subject. I've tried alot of stuff. I'm gonna take it in today and see what they say. I'll let you know what they tell me to do.

haha, you need to put the country code and put it like this : 07712345678 but take away the 1st digit and put your country code like this: +447712345678 :D

Welcome to the forums!

You're going to have to be a bit more specific than that - we're not mind readers here.

How about starting with:
- phone model number
- carrier
- problem description
- what you've already tried

Same issue. I have about 10 guys I text for a breakfast meet. All but one would get the msg. These folks are on Sprint, Att and Straight talk. The guy who was not getting the texts is using a Samsung G3 on the VZW network. Once he called VZW tech support while we text back and forth while they were on the phone with him. Of course the texts went through each and every time while he was speaking with them. With in a day or so same issue. No know this is going to sound silly but what I started doing was adding !!! @@ and stuff like that to the text and for some reason he gets them all. Has not missed one sine I have been doing it. The times I have forgot to add those symbols he does not get my text. Stupid right but it works. The only thing is phone is different one is that his home phone number is assigned as his cell number. Where my number is 513-594, his is 937-746. I just know when I add the symbols to the texts he gets them.

This happens to me frequently. The number I am trying to call is in Israel. I know the country code is right and it sends fine, which is a sign that it isnt a wrong number. But every time it says 'Sending failed.' I have tried editing the number many times and resending it but each time it has come back to me saying failed. The wiki article said 03 XXX XXXX for Tel Aviv, which is the area I am trying to contact. However, there is a missed call from someone who I think is the person that I am trying to contact, and the number does not match but when I send it with Israel call code (+972) and the local code (3) it sends fine apart from it then says SENDING FAILED. I cannot check if he has got it for obvious reasons

PLEASE HELP

I have this problem with one specific contact and no other. Always says 'failed', in red, when I send her a message, but the message is always received. I have been searching the forums for months but never found a sensible answer.
The only other occurrence of the problem is if I send a message to myself.

I have the same thing happening to me. Did you ever find out what to do to fix the problem?
