that was me. so that screen I already have the nav bar set. all I have to do is turn off textra. nice. thank you.

That is weird. For me it's like a toggle switch hide the navigation bar the + button doesn't show the options, disable the hide feature for textra and the option bar comes back on textra, it's on the bottom, but there.

Live message failed to send using Textra... Maybe a fluke, but I think it needs an update badly

yeah. I can do everything in the pics but it changes nothing when I do it. I have even rebooted and tried again after turning it back on. turn it off again. no change. reboot. still no change. I'm over it.

Textra is aware and looking to hopefully add in the future as a feature..

doesn't work in landscape either. all options still gone and never had that happen. it's the home and buttons at the bottom that aren't releasing from the screen so blocking those options... camera, image, gif... I tried other keyboards and it is the same on all.

Whether I lock the nav bar or not, I still can see the Textra option bar now. Portrait or Landscape.

That's the version I have, but it matters on mine, his doesn't matter, and yours works. Could be a fun issue to fix, lol

I'm using YAATA at the moment & it seems to be very similar to Texta.

On Sprint, have you experienced issues with large size of gifs or pics not sending? I emailed Textra they are working on a fix for the plus sign menu and Live messages as was said.

mine is finally showing picture, photo, gif, etc. no idea why or when, except sometime overnight I guess. glad that's fixed. would also be nice to be able to send live messages just for fun.

Textra has said that that are aware of the issue, but a temporary solution is to switch to landscape and it will reveal your other options.

They are working on a fix. I got a fix as I'm a Beta tester.
In the meantime the menu WILL APPEAR if you turn the phone in Lanscape! Not great but ok for now until fixed.
Yes, they will take Live Message gif resizing into consider as someone else mentioned.

If you switch the live message to standard quality instead of HD, you shouldn't have problems sending it. I tried it yesterday and it sends now no problem.

I agree. and it seems to me as if a lot of the apps I use need updating tweaks. the device is just released and there will be issues. I'm okay for the short term, though it would be nice not to have to use the default app for gifs and images...

eta - it's my favorite text app so far. checking every day for updates.

I am able to send GIF's and live messages through Textra. I use the gboard keyboard and it works flawlessly.
