Textra users on the note 8

If you switch the live message to standard quality instead of HD, you shouldn't have problems sending it. I tried it yesterday and it sends now no problem.

How do you switch to standard

Anyone having this issue with the samsung keyboard and textra? Works fine in android messages. I've changed themes back to stock and others and get the same results.

I am able to send GIF's and live messages through Textra. I use the gboard keyboard and it works flawlessly.

What carrier are you on

T-Mobile. The live messages I have to send as standard and not HD to Iphone users but i can send regular HR live messages tother Android users. I just entered it as standard for everyone though. I also changed my MMS limit to unlimited and the format to legacy in Textra MMS settings.

I had to change the settings to get them to send as well as change to standard quality in the live message app

now it's saying message to large. I changed to standard in live message.

That might work depending on his carrier. Some carriers allow bigger MMS whereas some will reject once it hits a certain size.

Unfortunately Textra is having BIG problems lately. Sucks because I have always liked the app in the past.

Stock message sent live messages fine. I used Textra on the Pixel but it hasn't worked well on Note 8 and I am just using the stock one now with no problems.

After reading this thread I made the background change to the standard. Textra now sends live messages whereas before it had not. For me, this change worked...on Verizon.

Unfortunately Textra is having BIG problems lately. Sucks because I have always liked the app in the past.

It's definitely not working right on the Note 8. Just look at the play store reviews. I think it's funny how they respond to every one like it's the first time they've heard about it. "Send us an email and we'll help" and then when you send the email they'll reply with "this is a known issue"

Taking their sweet time fixing it, and honestly I probably won't go back. Stock messaging app has been fine for the most part
