Textra users on the note 8

Anyone having issues with Textra not allowing you to schedule a message to be sent later? You used to be able to push the plus symbol and it would give you the option to take pictures to send, select a picture from gallery to send, and schedule message to send later. That's gone on my textra on the note 8. Any other textra users having this issue?

I just tried it out and it seems to be working fine, and as normal, for me.

Pressing the plus sign only gives emoji options. No camera, gallery, GIFs, et cetera.

By any chance are you sending an MMS? I used Textra a while back, then Chomp. I was never able to schedule an MMS, only SMS with either (tho not sure if that option changed over the years). Recently switched to Yata, and it's far, far more customizable than Textra or Chomp, and you definitely can schedule MMS messages.

Textra has not worked properly with MMS for some time. I hate having to use the stock app because of the inability to set custom sounds for messages that come from email addresses, but I don't want to lose the new functionality of RCS messaging and Live Messages.

I would try uninstall and reinstall the app. It works perfectly for me. Gallery, gifs you name it.

I agree on attempting a reinstall. I'm having no issues. I tested my ability to send both timed MMS and timed SMS, and both seemed to work just fine.

I used Textra on my Note 5, but haven't downloaded it yet on the 8. The stock app has been ok... No gif support though so I may go back

I'm having the same issue with Textra... Plus sign only inserts emojis. Uninstalled until they fix it

There's already a few reviews from note 8 users mentioning it. They definitely are aware

Hmmm, hope mine changes soon. I still don't have the options.

wish I knew what setting you changed and where.

I don't recall changing any settings. I do remember switching default messaging to Verizon messages for as long as I could stand it and changed back to textra. Try changing your default messaging and come back to textra, it's worth a shot.

I did update Nova, but I don't think that had anything to do with it.
