Re: What happens if the Note 7 is recalled?

I sold mine on eBay Tuesday, it's in transit to the new owner :)

Re: If sealed batteries are a liability for cellphones should Samsung move toward swappable batterie

Can you dunk an LG G5 in 5 feet of water for 30 minutes. Always will be trade-offs.

Re: Will you stick with the Note 7 if there is a recall or get different phone?

Keeping mine for sure... Awesome phone so far and enjoying it

Re: Will you stick with the Note 7 if there is a recall or get different phone?

Would get another Note 7 for sure. Need an s-pen and multi-tasking. Apple also doesn't give you enough freedom in terms of setup IMO.

Re: What happens if the Note 7 is recalled?

This. These "phones" in the pictures are fake.
Actually it seems like they have been looked at by Samsung.

Phones in other countries don't look like ours necessarily. Seems in Japan, they are going with zero Samsung branding.

Re: Will you stick with the Note 7 if there is a recall or get different phone?

No question I would still be sticking with the note 7

Still have my 6s plus sitting in a drawer Incase I need a back up but that will be sold soon. Best phone I have ever had (note 7)

Re: What happens if the Note 7 is recalled?

I charge fast wireless only and only cord when it's a emergency or if I'm in my car

Re: Will you stick with the Note 7 if there is a recall or get different phone?

I would try to stick with the note. But if I don't feel safe with it I would still stick with samsung and go for the pink s7 edge. I still want curved screen. But I don't think that is going to happen. i love my blue note.

Re: What happens if the Note 7 is recalled?

I've been charging up my Note 7 overnight since I got it two weeks ago and no explosions. I'm guessing there's only a few faulty phones and the tech websites are blowing this way out of proportion.

With the cable/wall charger or wireless?

Re: Note 7 ordered from Samsung.com, Delivered Today - What to do?

I ordered Note 7 directly from Samsung website (black AT&T version) about a week ago and it was just delivered to me by FedEx today along with the free Samsung gift (256GB MicroSD card).

With all this news about the upcoming Note 7 recall, I have not un-boxed my Note 7 and the MicroSD card yet.

Should I un-box my Note 7 and check it out or just leave it in the box? Would an unopened phone make any difference during recall? As you can imagine, it is very tempting when the box is sitting in front of me.

(new to the forum by the way so please be gentle) :)

I'm always gentle. :)

You can open your device and start to enjoy it. If there is a recall, having it in the box will only save you packing it up to send it in. Everybody's will be used.

Plus, there is a good chance you will not be part of the recall. No sense in wasting time in your return period waiting to see.

Re: Will you stick with the Note 7 if there is a recall or get different phone?

Best phone I've ever had, so I'm in for a new one if recalled. IPhones are nice, and I was a long time user, but I'm very much enjoying my Note 7.

Re: What happens if the Note 7 is recalled?

Totally agree but the timing of this couldn't be worse for them. This wouldn't necessarily deter me but can you imagine how many on-the-fence people would see these headlines and choose the iPhone 7.

How they handle it will matter. There will likely be a short term loss, but handled properly they have a chance to inspire trust and grow their brand in the long run. I like to buy from companies that are transparent, and treat customers well. It is easy when everything is going well, tough situations reveal character.

How they handle it, if a problem exists, will determine everything.

From what we know right now, the only common factor is cheap charging equipment being used.

re: Galaxy Note7 shipments delayed for "quality testing"

Seems like the issue was caused by a couple of people using the micro USB to USB Type C converter cord to charge their phone. It may just be a issue in the South Korean market. But I'm waiting from a official statement from Samsung first to confirm this.

Possibly. I would think Samsung would recommend people not use the converter that came with the phone. That would suck but I could live with it. I would probably buy a couple USB type C chargers to keep handy then.
