the I AM HAPPY WITH MY THUNDERBOLT thread

I too am very happy with the Bolt... nothing to complain about thus far.. .. just wish the guy at the verizon store knew the difference between micro us and mini usb.. could have bought me an extra cable before leaving... I have many mini's around my place.. but no micro's for the Bolt.. had to order some so i have one in each location.. car, work, and home... lol

Happy so Far:D.

They took my Dinc and made improvements to everything except the stupid battery. When are they going to learn??? I am not saying my battrey life is bad. Seems to be a good improvement over the Dinc, but HTC so have put an 1850 mah battery into it from the start.

My battery depletes after 6 hours of standby. I'm not joking. Everyone has the internal memory problem where over 5GB is missing and the remaining doesn't mount in Windows. Stupid design having the kickstand so that you can't charge and keep it sitting in the landscape position. I want to like this phone but these problems need to be fixed. Stupid move by HTC to make the battery smaller unless Verizon asked for this since the manufacturer does work with the retailer. I really think that someone intended for all of us to buy extended batteries.

This phone is blazing fast. SHAZAM!

^^^THIS!!! Love my new super phone... I get awesome battery life after I uninstalled my Taskiller Free, (was getting about 2 &1/2 hours of battery life out of it, now, after a couple cycles and some tweeks, I'm getting about12 hours, regular use from 100% to 43% when I went to bed last night)... I have background sync off, just google sync on, I never really used many widgets, so I just have my shortcuts on the screens, I live in a 4g area, but haven't run into a problem with the radio sucking down all my juice.

Super happy!!! :D

I absolutely love this phone, I thought it would be harder for me leaving my notification light (berrybuzz) and buttons on my blackberry but now I could care less about all of that...typing on the Tbolt is easy and as for the battery life, I know i've said this before, I'm used to it...by the end of my Tour's life, I was only getting about 3 hours in...

Of course phones have problems, every phone does and some are more specific to the person who purchases it but this phone is an amazing device and I love what it does and how customizable HTC has made it and also that verizon has entered the 4g market with this being the start of many great phones to come and a revolution to the cell phone industry with the new speed of these devices.

My TB just got here, delivered to work! It's awesome! It's my first Android phone, and is a pretttty big step up from my LG Dare.

Having learned to navigate Android on my Nook Color with CM7 has been a big help, and also reading all the tips / tricks on the forum (thanks y'all).

No complaints - the kickstand even stays up the wrong way if you maneuver the cable right.

very happy with it, although i am not in a 4G service area.

I am on my 2nd one, the first one had a faulty radio which would drop all connections (even voice and roaming) to the network except for wifi.

The second one works great, although it has slightly wonky battery door which doesnt latch on one of the corners in the bottom. Going to call Verizon to ask for another battery door.

As for battery life, yesterday after 25h off charger I was at 44% before plugging it in. After some intense web browsing while waiting at a laundromat. So far it seems on par with Fascinate and a lot better than CDMA iPhone, which would not last very long for me. Maybe my usage patterns flatter Android more than iOS.

Shortcuts on your screen? What's a shortcut that's not a widget? Thanks!

This is hands down the best device I ever owned
TBolt>Evo>Incredible>Droid 1

Best phone i've had so far. I love everything about it, and the batter life is good, not perfect but good...as soon as they have some updates out for it it will get much better. One thing that bothers me (very small thing) is that the LED doesn't stay on for more than 5 min. and you can't change the color of the LED..no biggie I'll get over it :)

i was expecting the notorious battery life before i got the phone but after tweaking some settings here and there and after a few days to condition the battery, it's really not all that bad! at first (since last thurs), the battery didn't seem to last more than a few hours but after changing display settings, sync schedules, etc, i got about 12 hrs out of the battery today. now, i know that won't be the norm because i took a long nap in the afternoon and didn't touch my phone, but i'm sure it'll last me the whole day with a fully charged battery in the morning. i'm transitioning from the Storm 2 so i'm used to plugging in a phone every night before bed. and coming from the storm 1 before then.. that's a whole different nightmare.

now that the battery issue is not much of an issue for me anymore, i LOVE my Bolt! i live in an area with awesome 4G coverage so its insanely fast (apps downloaded in literally seconds?!), unbelievable camera, beautiful display, clear sound, and the android market. coming from a BB and its sometimes frustrating and laggy AppWorld, the android market is just awesome!

if there was anything i'm not so happy about is the price and stupid CA tax (had to pay 8.75% on the full retail price of 599, when i got my phone for 249.99.. that's a lot of money just on tax -_-) but obviously it didnt stop me from getting the bolt. sure, there are some things i miss about the BB but the phone is not too shabby. not to shabby at all~ :D

I'm on my 2nd day with service and I'm totally thrilled with it.
Been showing it off to coworkers, and almost everyone has been really impressed. A few have even said that they want one.
I love internet browsing on this.
Was using it pretty heavily today, with web browsing, maps, GPS and a little hotspot usage, got down to 20% after 6 hours.
Really looking forward to checking out more apps. So far, only downloaded a few wallpapers, a game called Springle, and the forum viewer Tapatalk (though I didn't care for Tapatalk.)
Need to pick up some puzzle and poker games, and a few useful apps like battery monitors and ring tone makers.
Also planning to make this my main MP3 player and music streaming device.

This phone is the best thing I have ever bought for myself. :)
